A South Carolina man has been arrested after allegedly stealing multiple lottery tickets during a job interview and trying to redeem them at other stores.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division announced on Friday that 36-year-old Antonio Levon Ricardo Stewart of Galivants Ferry was charged on Tuesday with three counts of intent to defraud/counterfeit game tickets for an incident that happened on May 6, 2025.
Warrants state that Stewart stole scratch-off tickets from a Murphy USA store at 2010 S. Irby Street in Florence during a job interview. Authorities said this was captured on video.
The warrants state he then tried to pass six tickets at three other stores, two of which were located elsewhere on Irby Street. Of the tickets he passed at the stores, the warrants only mention a single cash prize of $5.
Stewart was booked into the Florence County jail, and the 12th Circuit Solicitor's Office is prosecuting the case.

rotflmao,
Did he get the job??
he should've been more focused on getting the job LOL
Now that is an entertaining story.
The interview was a ruse. He wanted the tickets more.
Not the brightest crayon in the box.
Even the other guys in the jail are saying, I've met some dumb criminals in here but man...that was DUMB!!
