If you won almost $2 million playing the lottery would you want everyone to know who you were?
Kansas Lottery officials have honored the request of the record-setting winner of the Super Kansas Cash drawing Wednesday to stay anonymous. The winner, a woman from Manhattan, Kansas, is $1,935,001 richer after Wednesday's Super Kansas Cash drawing.
The woman, who purchased the ticket at the Shop Quik at 3108 Anderson Ave., also earned the store $1,000 bonus for issuing the winning ticket. She matched all six numbers to win the largest jackpot in the contest's history.
In Super Kansas Cash, players select five numbers from among 32, then separately select a sixth number from among 25. To win the jackpot, you have to match all six numbers. There had not been a winner since June 4.
The game is played every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night.
