A Bethel, Vermont resident hit it big over the weekend when he won $50,000 playing the Vermont Lotterys instant game, Big Money Action.

Alfred Hill was purchasing gas on Sunday morning and decided to use part of his change to purchase a $5 instant ticket.  I scratched the ticket outside the store and didnt think it was a winner at first noted Mr. Hill.  Then I looked closer and saw something that looked like a prize.  Still uncertain, Mr. Hill reentered the store and asked the clerk to validate the ticket.  I still cant believe it, concluded Mr. Hill.

When asked what he might use the money for, Mr. Hill mentioned that hed use it to help payoff his house and buy his wife a new car.

Cumberland Farms of Randolph sold the winning ticket to Mr. Hill and will receive a bonus from the Vermont Lottery Commission for their part in Big Money Action.
