There will be no lottery sales today, according to a press release from the South Carolina Lottery.

State law prohibits lottery sales on election days.

Instant ticket validations, as well as online sales of Pick 3, Pick 4, Carolina 5 and Powerball, also will be shut down for the day.

There will be a drawing for any advance ticket sales.
