It's been a given for years that unions are going to be the death of manufacturing jobs in the US ..... I stand to be corrected on these numbers but believe I heard that approximately $6,000 of the average price of a new car is represented by union negotiated benefits paid to workers. No wonder GM and Ford are in deep trouble moving manufacturing to countries where there are NO unions....
