Looks like there is greed on both ends of mega millions, the pots are not rising like they said they would. Charging $5.00 a draw will probably keep the new change going a while. You took some of the excitement away with the price increase pricing a lot of people out of course you knew that.

The Mega Millions jackpot increased by the minimum $10 million to $140 million. It is estimated the current jackpot is under funded from sales by about $0.3 million. This will be the last minimum $10 million jackpot increase. Going forward, the jackpot will be fully funded by sales. Nonetheless, there is no possibility for the Mega Millions jackpot to catch up to the Powerball jackpot. The Powerball jackpot is clearly winning this race.

We are also skipping Mega Millions this week. Waiting for the jackpot to get a lot bigger. At least bigger than Powerball. My reasons are very different than MM's reasons, but I'm hoping that we'll see a ridiculously large jackpot in 3 months or so. The Mega Millions jackpot is growing slower than last time because it is being over shadowed by the much larger Powerball jackpot. And/or more of the people who aren't addicted are sitting it out for more general reasons about MM itself. What matters is their profit margin. It really does seem like a lot of people just can't figure that out. After millions of people threw away $5 on the new game format, I wonder how many of them will come back for more punishment Most of them, I'd imagine.
