The $29.95 Non-Believerz
This challenge is to pick no more than 10 numbers (1 - 26), and have 1 of those numbers be drawn as the Powerball Bonus Ball. $tat$ can't accept this challenge, but if he/she does, I put my money on MrB. It's your move $tatyman. What should we call this Contest (if $Head has the Stones)?

No More Self Pick Play Slips Accepted
At this point based on the poll, about 1 / 3rd have seen this. Interesting that sales were down this last draw, too. The recent Lottery Post article says the sales were a miss. $900 MILLION: Powerball jackpot rises, but sales miss in last draw makes for small increase

No More Self Pick Play Slips Accepted
One other point I'd like to make.... Each state has it's own data processing network/system for their lottery's. Is the problem you've seen unique to Minnesota? Do you know if it's happening in other states too? The situation described in an above post about a store in Louisiana could be a time saving policy adopted locally by the retailer. Although most states networks are connected to both PowerBall and MegaMillions, each state has it's own network of computers and terminals. I'm in Fl

CA $184,416 Fantasy 5 jackpot split 32 ways
I believe this was definitely a pattern win . I tried to find an example of the CA Fantasy 5 play card online, but could only find a Gimme Five play card picture which has 4 numbers to a row, so that the numbers 7, 11, 15, 19, 23 are lined up in a column. Many players play this way. There were also more 4/5 winners for that drawing because players playing that way probably started with the 3 and played all the 5 number combos down in that column resulting in a couple of 4/5s for 3, 7, 11, 15, 19

My Bad. Found an error in my Powerball Data update. You got another hit. 80% is just what it is, I guess.

Let's try and wake up this Pick 10 N.Y. site
This looks interesting! I would not have the time and patience to do the manual write down, but I was flat out of ideas and your concept of angles is a fascinating rabbit hole I may need to jump down. I will stick to a slightly less daunting matrix, perhaps the 6/49 PA match 6, since that has a long history on the same format. It would be a great excuse to explore some of those Python graphics libraries like Seaborn and MatPlotLib. Maybe even something in R (the language) as there is no

2024 tax rates now published at USA Mega
Both the federal tax rate brackets and the state income tax rates used for the Powerball Jackpot Analysis and Mega Millions Jackpot Analysis pages at USA Mega have been updated to the latest 2024 rates. Federal tax bracket changes happen every year, with the IRS adjusting each bracket upwards slightly to account for inflation. For a lottery jackpot winner claiming millions in income this results in a minuscule change in taxes paid, but the adjustment at USA Mega does make it exact. For s

We may seem stupid, but we're not CRAZY
You know what's even more odd? That some people didn't check the population of Southern California (24 million) or how many stores selling lottery tickets? Fun fact: Almost 10 million people live LA County alone compared to 6 million people living in the state of Maryland. Eleven states each sold over 4 million tickets in the $1.764 Billion drawing with California selling 17,768,334 and Florida selling another 10,789,215 tickets. It would be even more odd if the winning ticket was not s
