fortune cookies poll
I've never had a fortune cookie with a lottery number, but doubt that I'd choose to play it if I did. By my reasoning, one set of numbers is as good as any other, at least for a lottery with the odds of MM, which is what I usually play. Therefore, I see little point in spending my dollar on a set of numbers with such a high likelihood of multiple winners and necessity of splitting the pot.

I don't play fortune cookie numbers myself but my wife tells me to play them for her. She also has me play a lottery number from a movie. I think the movie is Paycheck.

My vote is no. I don't usually use a fortune cookie to pick my numbers. I usually use frequency and hot/cold numbers to determine what numbers I choose if CA SLP hits at least $48 million.

you hear so much these days about people winning with fortune cookie numbers that its seems like you'd have just as much of a chance winning with them as you would a quick pick.......

Yes, come to think of it I have played a few of those fortune cookie numbers. I won once of the few times I've done it. I think it was 20 dollars that I won (because of the power play option). I still do play then now and then, but they really have to be a set of numbers that catches my eye at that time. It's fun to try something out of the ordinary once in a while.

Re: Fortune cookie poll
Yes, I would play fortune cookie numbers. In fact, I am playing 3 sets of numbers from a Chinese meal on Thursday, July 21, 2005. No, I haven't won yet -- but it's been about 6 months. Who knows? I might be in for a real surprise soon...and very soon!

I have played fortune cookie numbers in the past and not won so I quit playing them. Now I play birthday numbers and important dates in time as my powerball numbers. I also do a couple of QP's.

Never played a fortune cookie number but, One time I was walking to the store to play my numbers and a 2 week old lottery ticket blew up against my leg...I looked up into the sky and asked if this was the sign I had been waiting for.....well you just know I had to play it.....not one number came up....after I checked the ticket, I looked up into the sky, smiled, and said that was a pretty good joke.

Doesnt it tick you off!! Arrgghh
that's how the big pots are played though, isn't it? it's always the dream, the fortune cookie, the quick pick........... and the number that was changed at the last minute.if it matters that much to your peace of mind, and you can afford it, play both. otherwise, as others here state, have faith in yourself. that'll pay off much more than second-guessing yourself. and don't overspend.
