Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Another $18M scheduled increase for the Measly Millions.... Dilly Dilly..... I was grabbing a PB QP last night, talking with the clerk who said that their sales for the MM have fallen off a cliff and he hardly sells any on his 3-11 shift at the Murphy gas station. Haven't talked with any of the people at various locations where I purchase other tickets but I will and report on what I find out. I have 3 tickets in for tonights draw. Good luck to all of us tonight PB JACKPOT CASH VALUE f

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Look at the history of jackpots for each drawing. When one is hit, the next one starts at 50 Million. Then it increases a minimum of 10 million for each drawing, until it gets hit again. The history show that it is taking a lot more drawings before it starts to increase more than 10M. Compare those numbers to before the changeover to $5 per play. There's a lot of people not buying anymore. I was posting to a thread from when the change first began, with the last post in May, and it actu

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
After the price increase I chose one line of my regular numbers to keep playing, and I get a ticket for 10 draws (5 weeks) which is as many draws as my state allows. I won something on my first ticket but I don't remember what. I just cashed my 2nd ticket and got $36. Not too bad for a $50 ticket. My new ticket is 4X and I'd be perfectly happy with the million dollar prize with that multiplier. I won $200 on Lucky for Life last night and I'm trying to decide how to allocate it. I've decided

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The sales per draw have been amazingly consistent over the last few draws and show no signs of increasing despite the relatively large size of the jackpot. It's not all that consistent, and it's much easier to see if you look at the change in revenue from each drawing (starting at $100 $110 million): $23,294,330 $436,660 up $22,952,415 -$341,915 down $24,492,395 $1,539,980 up $24,019,680 -$472,715 down $24,827,525 $807,845 up $25,383,490 $555,965 up $26,710

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
This is the second largest Mega Millions jackpot since the launch of the revised game and behind first place by $276 million. Or it's $332 million behind the highest jackpot under the new format. With the current annuity to cash ratio it will take an advertised jackpot of nearly $1.04 billion to equal the $452.2 million cash that was awarded to the winner of the current record. It is also only 5 rolls away from breaking the record for the largest number of consecutive rolls. And it

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Since the Powerball jackpot was just won, again it is highly unlikely it will catch up to the Mega Millions jackpot. I'm fairly sure PB can catch up, but it will take a long time. The last time they each got past a $900 million annuity PB took just over 3 months (9/8 to 12/10) to reach 930. MM (with 2/3 as many drawings per week) took 4 1/2 months (7/1 to 11/14) to reach 980. PB took 40 rollovers to get there and MM took 39. For those that still don't understand why MM starts with a series

Money and the Crime of Kidnaping
I am glad that the state where I live allows for winners to claim anonymously. Having said that, I must add that how flashy one chooses to live after the win does increase the likelihood of opportunist bringing harm on them. Being able to fly under the radar with millions in the bank account is a delicate balance. If I had 250 million in the bank after taxes, it would take a lot of will power and energy to act/live normal. I believe there is a certain level of comfort in knowing

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Based on the worksheet I figured a roll should be about 1.011 billion, but playing it safe and advertising an even billion isn't a surprise. The most recent worksheet estimates the supported annuity at 1.017. Monday's jackpot finished almost exactly at the estimate for the supported annuity (a hair over 40k higher, based on the numbers I've seen), and last nights was about 3.6 million higher (935.5 vs an estimated 932.4). Now we just wait and see if advertising a jackpot starting with a B will g

Coin Toss..this is solely and intentionally directed at you. I have seen enough of you self righteous comments in this section to last a Good month. You constantly tell people they are cheap and how you can't understand why they don't spend the extra dollar. Then you proceed to comment on their retirement plans. Honestly, your thought process is different from others but nobody attempts to degrade your opinion. ..Until now... You can take your self entitled conceited opinions, and shove them up y

Most statistics show frequency in relation to past draws, but what if we calculated the frequencies
...your posts are the antithesis of everything I know to be true in relation to the Lottery. One day soon, I'm gonna start hitting 4 to 5 numbers on Pick 6 games, and there shall be sustainable consistency. I will learn how to post images here to show my winnings. But even now, I can show sustainable consistency of hitting 2 to 3 numbers right on the regular. Keep in mind, Dr. San, the lottery games are designed by human minds. You have to look at it as a business generating revenue, not a p
