I usually pick my own numbers bug combine with random numbers. For example, on a 5 or 6 number draw, I'll select 2 or 3 numbers and use a random number generator to pick the rest. Haven't won big yet but I keep trying.

For Pick-3, a plan of attack I have considered is looking at the least recent exact winning combinations, especially if they have gone 25+ years without winning (once-daily draws) or 12+ years without winning (twice-daily draws). The law of averages has to catch up to the dry numbers at some point. For me right now, it is a mix of birthdays and frequency charts. By the way, my system gives me 1 to 5 numbers for each columns, and then I use 3 additional filters to get it down to 2 to 3 numbers for each column in a Pick 6 game. @lottobrain, the MadDog challenge is 3168 = (12 choose 5)*(4 choose 1) TIMES easier to win the jokepot than the actual MM or PB lottos. So even with a 5+1 challenge win, odds are it will only translate to a 3+0 or 2+1 real life lotto win. With some luck, maybe a 3+1 real life win.
