I'm just done with Mega Millions altogether. I played it since it was available in California, so a sample size that runs around 20ish years. The most I ever won was matching 3 numbers for probably around $10. $5 a ticket just became a barrier I wasn't willing to pass through. Whatever I would have normally spent just went to other draw games like California Fantasy 5 tickets instead. The actual jackpot total plays no part in my decision to buy a ticket or not.
