Is anyone here in (or near) Mississippi and playing Cash 3?
Their triple prizes promo for November is such an awesome deal. I would love to visit Mississippi and make bank, but with unreliable flights out of DEN (delays are getting worse starting today), plus not being able to take a lot of time off work, I probably won't be able to visit. The best way to play this (by staying below the taxable threshold) is $1 boxed for the 3 way combos and $2 boxed for the 6 way combos. Win $480. The triples are going to be taxable. 50 cents minimum bet wins $7

classic questions on lottery forums
There is a difference in that odds are supposed to be expressed as the ratio of [event A] to [event B], which is equivalent to probability being [event A]/([event A]+[event B]), where A and B are mutually exclusive and exhaustive. But in the lottery, people refer to odds in the same way as probability. So on this board, they are the same for all practical purposes. Your voodoo math and conspiracy theories are irrelevant to their distinction. For example, with the Colorado Lottery's $250,

is it luckier to buy tickets on the rich side of town?
That's not correct. The probability of buying a winning scratch off ticket has nothing to do with how many different locations you visit. It is solely how many tickets you buy. Ole Black bearded Capt Scratchalot az usual, duzzn't know whut he'z tawkin bout ..illfatedly drankin from dat Colorado Rivaah.. ANY VARIABLE associated with buying lottery tickets affectz yo out come, which ndirectly yieldz yo in come. Whether you skip a few dayz, or instead play everyday.... Buy a few tick

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
That explains him blaming lottery officials for his being a poor lottery player. You don't know that there's no such thing as a poor Lottery player ? Or even a good one for that matter? Even Kurt Panouses said in one of those BW videos that his clients all have one big thing in common - They're all very LUCKY I've got some trouble with something else you revealed about yourself in a different LP thread. You said you liked Florida's Governor. That's all well and good, but you're also ti

I'm done playing the lottery
I've spent $200 on PB tickets and plenty of money on scratch-off tickets at the vending machine at Safeway on Wadsworth 38th Ave in Wheatridge, CO. I didn't win very much, which I expected given the prize structure of that game. The last time I went there, I scanned $40 worth of winning scratch-off tickets, selected 8 $5 tickets, and when I hit check out , the machine did nothing. I asked the clerk and she told me to contact the Colorado Lottery. I did, and their response was that the retail

mathematics of re-playing small wins
I did my analysis on scratch-off tickets because most of the prize money goes towards lower prizes. With jackpot accumulation draw games such as Powerball, not much goes to lower prizes. To summarize my first post, for the $5 Colorado scratch-off $100,000 Super Bonus, the average number of tickets played is 2.5x or 3x your original bankroll, depending on whether your stop point is $500 or $1,000. Not surprisingly, the improved odds of winning a large prize exactly correlate with the average
