I disagree because I have been playing Mega Millions/Powerball faithfully and obsessively for 3 years now and this has NEVER HAPPENED? AND on the night of a 1.9 Billion dollar advertised prize?? This is SUS AF. I knew it was rigged from yesterday morning because ALL DAY I am watching the prize and it NEVER went up to 2.0 billion. Like why would it sit on 1.9 all day Sunday and especially all day Monday when the last 3 weeks, it has ALWAYS increased even a little the same day of the drawing.....

I am not quite sure how it all works but the MUSL is made up of several board members and they oversee the multi state games like Powerball and Mega Millions. Perhaps it has changed but in the past they didn't even have a policy against hiring criminals so I don't put too much trust into them protecting the consumers.

Also, Powerball and Mega Millions jackpot prizes are pari-mutuel, meaning the jackpot is split among winners if more than one person has a jackpot winning ticket for that drawing. If you put your numbers on an internet forum, and someone copies them to select his or her numbers, then you would literally split your jackpot prize with someone because of a mistake which could have easily been avoided.

Small Jackpot increases
Just a few years ago a $400 million jackpot would increase over a $100 million after a draw wasn't won. The Mega Millions was at $410 last draw and only went up $30 million after nobody won. Are sales really down that much now? If sales are really down that much compared to years past, why aren't the lottery companies making changes to get more people playing again?

I put Powerball because of the game behavior here in Michigan. I been thinking of hanging it up myself. Been playing the same numbers for 20 years and nothing. Powerball draw my first and third number come out the rest where off between 1-3 numbers 'last nights draw'. And mega millions about '2 draws ago my first and second numbers come out'. I get the astromical odds but jeez. Throw a dog a bone every now and then. So now I'm on the fence of just stopping all together . Or if I keep playing. Do I switch my numbers that where already drawn to different ones

Here is an alternative to quit playing the lottery. Spend a lot less money by joining a pool. For the current series of Mega Millions draws, I have been spending only 35 cents per draw. The pool is buying 20 tickets per draw. Not a lot of tickets but still enough to win. My share of the jackpot for the Friday draw is $3 million. This is the cash value and before taxes.
