When is the right time to hang your lottery boots?Reply
I been thinking of hanging it up myself. Been playing the same numbers for 20 years and nothing. Powerball draw my first and third number come out the rest where off between 1-3 numbers 'last nights draw'. And mega millions about '2 draws ago my first and second numbers come out'. I get the astromical odds but jeez. Throw a dog a bone every now and then. So now I'm on the fence of just stopping all together . Or if I keep playing. Do I switch my numbers that where already drawn to different ones

Store-specific lottery ticket paper?
Today while getting a Powerball ticket at a Quick Trip, I asked why their fast-processing machine wasn't working yesterday. The clerk said it was because the machine ran out of paper, and they had to wait on the lottery service to deliver more paper that was specific for that store. What I found interesting is that the clerk said the paper was store specific. Maybe as fraud prevention in case someone figures out how to thermally print a fake ticket after a draw?

I should clarify, I want to be able to win by placing multiple plays. So a daily 3 wouldn't work. i want to be able to pick something with odds of like 1 in 250 that pays decent odds. Not 2-3x like the Powerball power play..(1 in 25)

If you see the 1-69 Powerball white balls or 1-70 Megamillions balls as 69/70 unmarked balls, still the balls themselves would follow the same pick patterns by statistics and probabilities. e.g., the ball shown as 1 will still be having a expected average of 1/69 or 1/70 or for that instance all 69/70 balls. Unless you show the winning ticket locked in 200 tickets for one or two draws even within an year frame not many will shed that 200 tickets money. 200x2 x12 = 4800$ megamillions or powerball tickets. Plus 200x3x12= 7200$ for megamillions or powerball tickets with powerplay. Since the software sheds winning ticket why not grab 2 million over 1 million for 3400$ more... Seems like you might as well play the double play too, if you're happy with $10 million. It would only be a $20 ticket. And I'm sure you change the powerball on each of your 5 lines. Nothing to lose, and 4 extra chances to win the jackpot.

You know what's even more odd? The 2 billion dollar powerball ticket and this last billion dollar one. Both tickets where sold 75.6 miles away from each other. So now you think. All the states that play. And all the retailers within those states that sell tickets? And 76.5 miles away another winning ticket is sold. And I don't know if this part is true because I was 2 discussed to look it up. But supposedly the last 3 billion dollar or over a billion jackpots where sold in So Cal.

Decrease of cash value
Hello everyone, not sure if this topic was discussed before, but i'm sure most of us noticed that the cash value for major lotteries such as Powerball and Megamillions had decreased over few years. For instance, the average ratio for cash to annuity in 2020 for Megamillions lottery used to be 73%, 70% in 2021, 60% in 2022 and this year it is less that 50%, the current ratio for the draw on 17th October is 45%.
