in pick3 70% repeats a digit from the last draw, which other patterns also happens around 70%.
The R library(depmixS4) is a nice tool to explore Markov chains in (random) time series data...

cottoneyedjoe I agree, If however people choose to try anyway, let me suggest they use a Markov chain to analyze their data. Markov chains can quickly identify patterns in random data. We must remember the data is random and so is the next draw but if your lottery paradigm contains a belief that you can beat the odds then Markov chains will provide a great learning tool to test, update your paradigm. If working with digits 0 to 9 as in a p-3 game then I suggest at least 10k d

GH, with her background in financial markers, seems to have found a number of ways to discover features in lottery time series data... I wonder what other features there are to be discovered and if anyone has looked into any of the methods folks in the financial markets use as algorithmic tools such as arima, garch, random forests, markov chains, neural networks and support vector machines to model lottery random events...

Do some number combinations have better odds?
The refinement of Bernoulli's Golden Theorem, regarding the convergence of theoretical probability and empirical probability, was taken up by many notable later day mathematicians like Poisson, Chebyshev, Markov, Borel, Cantelli, Kolmogorov and Khinchin. The complete proof of the Law of Large Numbers for the arbitrary random variables was finally provided during first half of 20th century.

There are people running around annoying others because they avoid to pick the numbers themselves to not be blamed and later blame as they had better!? You can follow methods if you like that, that would be kind of a markov chain. You make up your rules once and let run your automate.

Caps, I check the Markov chains page it may be very interesting for someone who understand that kind of mathematics language, I don't. Is there a software built somewhere on the web with his formulas ? Where you could enter your raw data end test the results ?

I never have seen any SLAG lottery program. You can search on Internet and not find. It's a mirage of the Arab desert, it isn't there. - There is a L. Master book. It didn't help but coded similar charts. Concepts like skips and counts, simple grouping, yes. You feel that a big part comes from charts you can do with pen and paper. - There were other programs linked to Somee that apparently seemed to be quality for once. The distribution stopped and the programs were for free. I didn't see the co
