Hey Venom, we have that in Idaho too. I always scan my tickets at a store before I throw them out. Just in case . And we have the web site with the thingamabobber to enter your ticket numbers. So there's no excuse for the careless Idahoans throwing their money away.

It's pretty wild to see my servers' network utilitization right now. It is pegged at 100%, meaning that every last bit of networking bandwidth is completely consumed with Internet traffic. It takes an awful lot of people to make that happen. Pretty nice that the sites are still run OK, despite the onslaught of people. Can't say the same for most government Web sites. The official Mega Millions site just says Service Unavailable . Meanwhile, USA Mega is still going strong.

The Texas Lottery web site has been showing live drawings for some time now. It shows at the draw times of 12:27 pm and 10:12 pm. They even show a countdown for a few minutes before the draw. At any other time, the page will show a recording of the last draw and a menu to view previous draws, but during the draws and for a few minutes before, they show a stream, a coundown followed by the draw.
