Mass. lottery winners face charges in welfare fraud
Unless you are a sage, which you have not claimed to be and verified to be correct, you would have no knowledge of the source of the money with which the welfare recipient purchased or purchases his/her lottery ticket. If the welfare recipient wins, you own absolutely no share of it. There is no net lottery pool created. The litany of taxpayer's money that goes to create benefits, in the thousands of dollars, indirectly to many persons in America is extensive, and it is not possible to cat

Lottery Post member subject of new motion picture
Here's what happened: Carl Liggett - January, 2004: I was driving along a snow-covered county road at about 45 miles an hour. About a quarter-mile ahead, I spotted a small red-and-white pickup sitting in a driveway on the left. I covered my brake in case he pulled out but, as I got closer to him, I thought he was going to wait. I was about 50 yards from him when he slowly meandered into my path, doing maybe 20 mph. There was nothing coming in the other direction, so I pulled out to pass

US House votes to kill Internet gambling
Detention . Interesting choice of words. Not arrest. Detention. They have a lot more elbow room these days because of the anti-terrorist provisions for dissolving rights insured by the US Constitution. Under current practice they can probably hold this guy until he dies of old age without charging him with anything. Without even telling him why he's being held. As they've already done with all those people down at Gitmo for three, four, five years. Evidently the US is operating

S.C. may ban illegal aliens from claiming lottery prizes
The Charlotte Observer is running a series on this debate. I think it is one of the best read out there on the issue. I think if we all know how the government is playing us against each other for political reasons we will change our views or understand it a little better. We can stop hating Mexicans and see the big picture. The politicians and government made it so easy for them to be here. Billions and billions of dollars change hands. It grease the palms for businesses who want cheap la

Arizona man proposes lottery to increase voter turnout
I never mentioned Bush in my original posting, which was just about improving voting, but the moderator here did in his response, so I guess we are free to talk about him. Here is one more thing to think about in regard to the president. From www.tbrnews.org . > There is a time bomb ticking away that will do little to assist Bush in regaining political heaven and that is the treatment of the dead GIs. It seems that the faulty electrical power at the Baghdad morgue means that many of t
