Eddie Tipton released from prison on parole
Someone should remind Eddie that if you are caught committing a crime, and you then explain exactly how you committed the crime along with your co-conspirators. You cannot come back later and claim that someone forced you to admit guilt. No one believes you.

Man arrested in lottery winner kidnapping
If you take a person across State lines then it is a Federal Crime and the FBI will automatically be called in. As someone who has extensive knowledge of the law, I cannot understand why he is getting only a $300K bail. He only has to post $30K and if a relative owns a home, a bail bondsman will take that as collateral. Thats absurd considering someone died. He should be charged with kidnapping, conspiracy to blackmail, first degree murder, using a weapon during the commission of a crime, and pr

Raised hackles and shears over a lottery card mix-up
I am happy to hear that crime has been reduced in Manhattan. Jose Cardoza learned a lesson the hard way. Keep your hands off another person's property. But threatening another person with pruning shears is a serious crime. I wonder what the District Attorney will ask for in his trial or pretrial hearing.

Thieves target scratch-off lottery tickets in 'snatch-and-grab'
Definitely possible though that's what good defense attorney's are for. Crime is crime but punishments fall in ranges and this is a case that will fall on the lenient side of it.

Both criminals probably have rap sheets. This is not their first crime. Using a fire arm to commit a crime will get you five years in most States.

Hot Lotto case moves to jury for deliberations
I don't think there's enough evidence that proves, beyond a reasonable doubt, that he's guilty, so there's a good chance he'll be found not guilty. We all want justice, but if the evidence isn't there, it isn't there. If you think someone getting away with a crime is bad, try being one of the many people who have been found guilty of a crime they didn't commit, just rotting away in prison.

Just because you are charged with a crime doesn't mean that you are guilty of that crime. There could be a logical explanation why he was helping the lady with the stolen Honda. The writer of this story could be leaving out facts that are crucial to this story just to make the story more interseting.

Jury awards jailed illegal alien $750,000 lottery ticket
Let's be real. The guy broke US laws (by being here illegally) but did not break the Lottery Laws (which allow him to play regardless of his immigration status). He followed the lottery laws and won big. He deserves every penny of it. Suppose the guy was perfectly American but also a, yet to be caught and jailed, drug dealer or murderer. Does such an American criminal deserve a lottery win? Bottom line is that the illegal alien's crime is willfully working like a dog for measly pay to bui

Cheated winner wants Texas Lottery to pay up
Actually no it isn't his fault. You can't blame the victim in a crime. Buying an Ipod and a once in a lifetime lottery jackpot ticket are two entirely different things, especially when that ticket is a winner. Not to mention A LOT more expensive than an Ipod. That kind of money should be insured by the lottery, and yes they are liable. Again, you don't blame the victim in a crime regardless of how incoherent they are.
