$1.7 BILLION: Will Powerball create a Christmas billionaire?
I was kidding because CDanaT thanked everyone for donating to the TN winner. Lighten up a little will you. Some Native American tribes have a belief that after someone dies the first thing they say is Why was I so serious .

$1.1 BILLION: Powerball jackpot increased in longest-ever winless streak
No, they kept about $86 million. I assume the video explains it, but the very first thing they do is skim 50% of sales for the states. The $100 million back to the new jackpot is actually about $45.8 million (of the $86 million for prizes) but if you let them invest it for you they'll eventually give you $100 million more than if you'd won on Saturday.

Iowa man had to ground himself with household chores after $1 million Powerball lottery win
Of course the first thing I would have done after it was really true and not a dream that I hit the lotto is to eat a liverwurst or an OLIVELOAF sandwich with all the works and finishing the plate with three gherkin pickles and some sweet potato chips..... and wash it all down with Sasparilla or birch beer or creme soda or Moxie.
But then again ...... not everyone has my sense of taste culinary speaking - wise.
Have a shaggy day everyone!

Lottery Post's guide to 2025 holiday raffles across the USA
I have 4 Michigan Super raffle tickets :) looking forward to the drawing in a couple weeks. Looks like we are going to have a little break on the odds since most likely this will not be a sell out with such slow sales.
I also have 10 Idaho holiday raffle tickets.
And after spending the day in Yellowstone I am currently in Montana ready to buy my Raffle tickets first thing in the morning before they sell out.
Good luck everyone on your raffle purchases
Cheers!

First purchase after multi-million-dollar win? A new pair of shoes
By Kate Northrop
A dedicated Michigan lottery player won the biggest Lotto 47 jackpot in history at $32.91 million with numbers he's used consistently for 20 years.
The Michigan winner of the record $32.91 million Lotto 47 jackpot has never strayed from playing the same sets of numbers for 20 years, and it finally paid off.
The 73-year-old, who chose to remain anonymous when collecting his record-breaking prize, m

Australian man deletes email from lottery about $50 million Powerball jackpot win
I can't blame him for deleting it, I would have done the same thing. I still remember the very first spam email I ever received, informing me that I'd won the lottery. It might have been more convincing if I hadn't won two different multi-million dollar jackpots that morning.

California Lottery accidentally publishes winner's address instead of retailer's in press release
* This isn't the first time they screwed up. Back in 2012, they swooped down onto a store demanded footage of the sales of the day to find the jackpot winner posted their faces on TV.
* They seemed to have forgotten that a winner had a year to come forth claim their prize, not less than 2 months after the win. I seriously thought these errors were a thing of the past. Will probably hear ( New Staff) excuse.

US Powerball multi-state lottery game expanding to the UK
First and foremost l will admit l do not know the Tax agreement between Powerball and Uk. But based on what l do Know it is going to be mutually beneficial. This is why . Number one the Jackpot is one thing but Uk has other new features attached to there game like second price or third price. As to why Uk residents have to pay Federal tax on Powerball that is left to be determined by their agreement details. So uk is like Puerto Rico dilemma and puerto rico is still standing. Remember Puerto Ric

$1.1 BILLION: Powerball jackpot increased in longest-ever winless streak
@ShagE3 google 'powerball pay tax in one state live in another', there's your answers. Basically this:
As a general rule, if you live in one state and win a lottery in another, you're first taxed by the state where you bought the lottery ticket. Then, if your home state has the same or a lower tax rate than the other state, you won't have to pay taxes in your state. If your state's tax rate is higher, you'll get a credit for the taxes you paid to the other state and pay the difference to you
