MS Access
I prefer to use excel as a tool to work with because you have instant visual feedback on backtesting and complex formula manipulation where you need to see each portion of a process broken down. Also, using excel allows easy importing into MSAccess for those things that just can't be done without some SQL power above and beyond the limited query abilities of excel. MSAccess also exports quite cleanly to excel.I would strongly suggest using Excel as your primary storage and manipulation tool, and

It is not a formula and therefore cannot be directly translated into a program. There may be programs to create wheels using a formula but I understand that these wheels are not o

Statistics, weighting and scope....
my problem is twofold...1. including stats with no reason for them being there2. not backtesting due to complexity of pick generationI have fixed #1... I just have MODE, Mean, Average and Forecast now, both full history and optimized last 5-10 draws... AND I have finally concocted a backtest sheet that I am still working on to see how this complex pick method has done over time AND to develop an error-correction mask for the overall pick. I have to test friday (M6) and Saturday (PB) but I finall

Only Odd Numbers
Dragon -As I stated in my response, there are 177,100 possibilities in a 6/49 drawing that will contain only the available 25 odd numbers, the same as if you were drawing to a 6/25 lottery. If even numbers only are desired, there are 134,596 possibilities, the same as in a 6/24 drawing. As far as your original formula and number are concerned, I now think I have a handle on how it was derived and the flaw contained therein. You stated there is a skip of a number, yielding a formula of (25*24*24*23

What are the odds
Hi all I just noticed an error in the D-trap program, The error is tied to the matrix values. If you set the first value, the number of balls drawn first then set the pool value, the pool value does not update within the program. This could prevent you from being able to enter digits into some cells. There are 2 ways to correct this for now, the first would be to set the number of balls in the pool first then set the value for how many balls/numbers are drawn. You could also set t

Mathematics and the Lottery
Hi, Going back to my previous example: 0 0 0% 1 8 1.5% 2 46 8.7% 3 155 29.6% 4 207 39.5% 5 108 20.6% To only use the top occurring numbers, takes you out of a winning position too much of the time, reguardless of the best subsets within that range. If I were to utilize the 80/20 rule it would be to filter out all combination that don't have at least 3 of the top identified numbers. That way there would only be a 10.2% error. Using that approach (10% or less), the ru

Determinism vs Randomness and Chance
Indeterminism is the concept that events are not caused deterministically from prior events. Indeterminism is an event without a cause. An example of an event that is not strictly caused is one that depends on chance, like the flip of a coin. If the outcome is only probable, not certain, then the event can be said to have been caused by the coin flip, but the head or tails result was not predictable. So this causality, which recognizes prior events as causes, is undetermined. Indeter

Statistics around the balance of even/odd and small/big numbers
RL-RANDOMLOGIC, You said, I take 100 of so samples of different sizes from different points within my database and analyse them to see how well each sample follows the matrix and look for a margin of error from the expected. This and the rest of your posting is a paraphrase of much of what you've been writing here for months. ...a margin of error from the expected. Hmmm... You insist you don't look back, so just what are you saying here? This posting doesn't tell us anything of value, and
