If there is anything to V-Dude's if you're meant to mantra, I got that covered with my quick pick for the PB... just one, no more systems for me. It's my theory that the only possible involvement of God in the lottery is to test the 10th commandment (the one about coveting your neighbor's posessions)... and to this end there is plenty of cases where some would think a winner didn't deserve to win ( Action Jack-son Whittaker comes to mind)... If you can not let that bug you, then I think there

Odds of winning.
Generate a wheel with all numbers, condition 2 if 6. Generate as many quick pick lines. Compare both to the history of you game. Sum up the costs and the payouts. You might want to repeat this with different quick picks and different wheels, involving all numbes. There is a full lotto quick pick, involving all numbers, that equals a wheel. A suggestion of what you can do. You might also run a wheel filled by random numbers against a wheel filled by numbers of your system or

Combinatorics & Modus Tollens
Yes, I am active playing in PA. Played today. One self-picked number in each of Pick 3 day eve and Pick 4 day and eve. One self-picked Match6 and one quick pick Match 6. Total spent: $20. That's usually my budget for a day. Big week for me is playing 3 times with a pattern similar to above. I track past draws with a freebie version of Excel and my Pick 3 draws are based off what looks like is coming due in each of the three positions. For Pick 4, I watch for recurring pairs. I call it my Danc

Chances of 1,2 or three winners in Powerball
The Lottos really should publish the repeat distribution, and number of plays per customer transaction, so that that P(x) could be better estimated. Also, their quick pick PRNG repeat distribution should be published. That would expose any problems with the PRNG and its seeding.

Expected Value of Lottery Jackpot, Given You Are A Winner
This is an interesting topic, nice write up. In the past I have run simulations to find the probability distribution of the number of jackpot winners (under the assumption every ticket is a quick pick to simplify things) varying the parameters of total number of combinations and number of tickets sold. For example, in a 5/39 game, which is common in many states, there are 575757 combinations (a more manageable number). If 575757 quick picks are sold, the likelihoods of 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4+ jac

Winning with Math only and absolutely no draw History
This goes against everything I have been doing in Excel using draw history mathematics. It is said that Those that ignore history are bound to Repeat it . We have a lot of history. Many Draws have occurred. If the previous statement is True (and it is) then I guess the answer is to ignore said histories and they will repeat. So if history is going to repeat itself, What specific Event will Repeat? Find yourself looking at that history? How do you select the repeating event if you do not kn

Mathematics and the Lottery
So, as for me, save your sophisticated formulas, and the effort put in them, for the important things in this world, and let us lotto players play. How do some LP members discussions of lottery systems effect how you or anyone else play lotteries? There are members who think there has to be a better way of picking combinations to play than a random quick pick.
