Hi everyone, I ve been following this forum for a while and I love the analytical approach many of you take. I m a data enthusiast For the past few months, I've been building Python-based Monte Carlo simulations analyzing 7+ years of draw data (specifically focusing on Australia Saturday Lotto and EuroMillions). My system doesn't predict the future (we all know the lottery is random), but it heavily filters combinations based on: Active Trends (Hot clusters in the last 15 draws).

It really isn't in the interests of the Lottery to prevent repeat tickets from being sold. The possibility of repeats is what keeps a syndicate from buying all possible tickets when a large JP is available. Well, that and the gargantuan nature of the task!

Stefan Mandel and his syndicate look for lotteries with jackpots amounts that far exceed the cost of buying every possible combinations. There just aren't that many such games around since he tried that and won the Virginia lottery back in 1992 with only 8M possible combinations. Most lotteries today are won long before they reach that point.

It would probably take a syndicate to cover the cost of play, but I believe using several 15 lines using all 75 numbers with each group of the 15 lines using all 15 bonus numbers, could show profitable results. If such a feat could be done, it could be simulated on paper or in a computer program and I haven't been able to do either. Such a scheme might be possible with one of the games with a better overall payout average like Lucky for Life or Texas's AON which according to its webpage has

Looking at the systems on LP, most are nothing more than simple RNGs and some don't include the entire matrix. At least your method uses all 75 numbers with the 15 bonus numbers. Many years ago I matched 5 out 6 on one of the first Ohio Lotto games by using all the numbers on the minimal amount of lines. If you can define an algorithm that cover 75% of the previous winning combinations, then you probably have a 75% chance of extrapolating the next winning combination. The problem will be finding an algorithm that extrapolates a group of combinations that you can afford to cover. The only reason that Australian syndicate did make a profit on the February 15, 1992 Virginia 6/44 Lotto was because they did the math. If there were 10 combinations on each, they had to get and fill out over 700,000 play slips. They had to calculate how long it would take to print out all 7,059,052 combinations and divide that by the roughly 3 days they had to do it in; at 10 slips per minute, they needed about 30 terminals running non-stop. The reason I asked the questions was there was a story on sixty minutes a few years ago about a small town in Texas that played a lottery as a group, got lucky and won. The jackpot was big enough that everyone who participated got a least a million dollars.
