Yes, NextShooter is a terrific site and also where I learned of the firebet. I played it at Harrah's and the HorseShoe in Tunica (both harrah's properties). I have heard that all Harrah's have the firebet now. Obviously you want to only use it if a shooter is a good one. I reckon it was set up intentionally for dice setters/influencers.
