I was about to separate my receipt (goes in shoe box for taxes) from my tickets taxi tell me how you do that...you have to save the reciept or the tickets...how are you able to claim your losses on your taxes.. i thought you save the ticket,

They monitor those sites for such....save them to offset any wins you might have...say you hit pick 4 ....you report your winning and then you can deduct your losses up to the amount you won...you receive credit for the taxes that were deducted by the lottery..and reduce any further tax obligation on that win. You have to save the tickets to claim them as a loss though. So I only throw tickets away at the end of the year, if I had no reportable wins...

save every time dated ticket and all the ones you can find.Back those taxes down.Scratch offs won't count.I have several convenience stores save me the losing tickets people toss.Have a friend up the road hardcore player ,she hits Take 5 two at least times a year .She has all losing tickets filed away for tax purposes.

uni side note : start save your non-winning time and dated stamped lottery tickets.So you don't pay any tax on your win.You write off your losses with time dated stamped lottery tickets when you do your taxes. just sayin lol ,.........and good for you congrats (dream believer now).

Be sure to save your losing tickets as they can be used for writing off those taxes (fed at least) next year. Up to the amount you won.

Undress, save all your play tickets...........EP is right.............you can deduct them for your taxes...make sure you set some money aside estimating your taxes..........come tax time you don't want to be surprised...................that is exactly why I don't play 4 digit........I won big once and I thought it was a hassle.........I rather win on 10 Pick3 straight tix....lol...wouldn't everyone...

Well, I can't speak for everyone but I was already discouraged --that's why I decided to save my money and not play-- but it was nice to see that I was playing the right numbers and would have won had it not been for 3 pre-draws everyday. I'm sure when they finally do drop the green ball, it won't be any number anyone will be playing. We know NCEL better than that. By the way, I find it hard to believe that if you buy a $1 exact ticket and win $500 that would double to $1000 should the green bal
