Florida Fantasy-5 Players
I think it's very possible that The Florida Lottery is expecting a player backlash regarding the new two draws per day change. People don't like change in general and it's my guess that FF5 players will at first react negatively to the change. The Florida Lottery is well aware of that. (Because they saw what happened in other states when the other states went to two Pick5 drawings per day) What better way is there to offset the players initial negative reaction than to throw them a bone

You and me both with regard to winning 2 jackpots! I did not realize how badly The State of New York Lottery was hammering Take5 players in New York until I got here. I could not believe my eyes when I saw odds of 376,992 to 1. Take5's odds to win a jackpot are 575,757 to 1. And... Florida allocates 62% of the winners prize pool (they make pay outs to all winners from the winners prize pool) to the jackpot. In other words, if you hit a jackpot and the winners prize pool had a total of $500,0

Take5 NY
I'm curious as to how you guys feel about the split of the Take5 prize pool in NY. I like the big Florida jackpots as compared to T5's, but I hate the crummy lower tier prizes. Do you think players in NY would rather have the big jackpots like Florida has, and move to smaller lower tier prizes, or do you think players in NY would vote to keep the prize pool split the way it currently is? Last night: 1 3 8 11 25 Well I guess you're surprised today too because once again there were 6 winners! At first, I thought that there was one winner who bought the same line/combo multiple times, or that they were players picking numbers using their kids birthdays. Then I looked at the Top Prize Winners Report. Four of the six winners were QP's!! That almost removes the kids birthdays from the equation. My guess is the two player picked winners used their kids birthdays, but the QP's, ca

There's something I've been wondering about with regard to what The Florida Lottery does with the ping pong balls they use for their FF5 drawings. I know that in New York, The NY Lottery rotates a different set of ping pong balls that they use for each and every drawing. They use a total of six sets of balls, and each drawing a different ballset is used than was used in the prior drawing. I've seen nothing on The Fla Lottery's website about Florida doing anything like that. I have to believe

Not that anybody is remotely interested, or even cares for that matter, but in addition to Saturday, Friday is also a good day to play FF5. Friday's generate a total take of $600,00+ for The Florida Lottery. Last night three players won $65,992 each. (3 X $65,992 = $197,976) 197,996/.62 = 319,316. $319,316 is The Players half of the total take, (Florida keeps the other half) so 2 x $319,316 = $638,632 which is the total amount of money spent yesterday by players of FF5. If you see a jac
