Don't post often here, but I've discussed Lucky for Life with a retailer this morning, and he flat out told me LFL is going away in December, and I'm quite happy. PA has a way to go to match Jersey's level of consumer relations - Online games, second chance drawings, etc.

I do not concern myself with small prizes unless I have been wanting a break from the chase of the big jackpots that Oregon Megabucks and Powerball offer. I would sign it, then scan it in so I could post it after I claimed it, then would go to the store I got it from and validate it. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I sign my tickets as soon as I purchase them. That way if they are lost or stolen, nobody can claim them since positive ID is required of course. Remember, the bearer of the ticket is the owner unless it's signed. I also would never validate a winning ticket at a local retailer. Read the story about the $1.4M dollar winner in AZ.

PA is not willing to give up on Lucky for Life just yet. I was surfing their website today when I noticed that in February, retailers will participate in a voluntary Lucky for Life promotion. As I was buying my PowerBall tickets for tonight's drawing, it dawned on me that I'll need to do a quick turn around on ciphering and buying my tickets. kjs, please don't take this the wrong way, since I believe anything is possible. I simply can't imagine this happening unless you were handed an old ticket previously generated. In other words, the clerk had some old tickets and sold them to you. A store clerk, inexperienced or not, can't change the date of a ticket. The terminal always prints one for the next available drawing. For example, I can't go into a store and ask for a ticket for next Wed Lotto drawing today since there is a game on

I sent them an email... Can't check my supercash numbers further than the previous 9 days even though I went back 2 years on the start date. Also, when I hit big winners nothing happens. And how do we find out what retailer sold the winning tickets and who won them? I will post their response if I get one.
