NY King Kong Millions online game
Is there only going to be those few large prizes? So your odds of winning will be like 1 in 1 million? If they are they should of made the game more like the Spainish Lottery El Gordo or whatever it is called with odds of better than 1 in 10 i believe.Brad

PLEASE HELP - regarding tax and lottories
lola23,I'm interested to learn why the tax issue is so important to you.To answer your question, UK Lotto, Euro Millions, and El Gordo (as offered by the services on the left side of the page) do not have taxes withheld. That's because they are bought in the UK and Spain, which do not subtract taxes from lottery prizes. That is not to say that your particular country will not withhold taxes if you bring the money into your country. The US lotteries would have US government taxes withheld - normal

UK Lotto for Saturday 7/10/2004
Kristin,I have defintely won online. In fact all my UK plays are with money I won on El Gordo on July 3rd.If you're ever going to check out the UK Lotto, now's the time. It's like playing your state lottery at a $100 million jackpot level. Also, it's a bad comparison to make to Mega Millions ( $20 worth of tickets ). Mega Millions has odds of 1 in 135 million to win the jackpot, and the UK Lotto is 1 in 14 million.

Matrix change: Powerball to get much harder to win?
Why doesn't PB roll its matrix back some and essentially coast along with that game which was once fun to play? To compete with mega lotteries like El Gordo which draws once a year why doesn't the Multi-State Lottery Association expand on what states are doing now and have a raffle every 6 months or every year???? Jackpots climb to the probable billion + range and everyone gets what they want ...... all of which makes sense instead of trying Franken-morph PB into something unrecognizable.

El Gordo winners
No El Gordo is not a normal lottery. They have about, I believe, 70,000 different tickets. Each ticket has 20 different sub-tickets on it and each one of the 70,000 tickets is replicated thousands of times. Well that is what I get from it. So really the first prize is worth about $640,000,000 but by the time it is distributed to the smallest tickets it comes out to be $360,000 for each one. That is why so many people won the first prize in the same town. There are many tickets with the sam

(Guaranteed jackpot)For those who don't know much about UK Lotto, it is one of the best in the world. All winnings - including the jackpot - are paid tax-free, lump-sum cash. Also, because it's a 6/49 game, the odds of winning the jackpot are only 1 in 14M. Matching 3 of 6 gets you almost $20! 4 of 6 is about $120! And so on...

Let me get this straight. The Lotter allows people from all over the globe to play USA lottos?
You're really getting your panties in a wad over nothing. The guy hired a butler service to walk into a store and physically by a ticket. He got lucky. And you didn't. Neither did I. So, try again next time. Or don't. Whatever. When my daughter was studying abroad in Spain a few years ago, she could have bought an El Gordo ticket. Or a Euromillions ticket. Oh, and there aren't 2000 winners each time because the odds are really high. They don't even come close to selling all the combination
