well here it is the day before the drawing and they have sold a little over 210,000 tickets of the 420,000 they should have sold. I have just bought a second ticket so my chance of wining something are looking a little better. John has it exactly right, assuming one ticket for each drawing. The fact that a bunch of posters here don't understand the math doesn't change the facts. Having two tickets makes you twice as likely to win, whether it's two tickets for one drawing or one ticket for each of two drawings. Still possible, but I say there will be no Christmas or New Years jackpot winners. because MM sales were 18,5 million sales and PB was slightly less at 17.5 million making both less than a 7% chance.
