PA Lucky For Life Lotto
PA is not willing to give up on Lucky for Life just yet. I was surfing their website today when I noticed that in February, retailers will participate in a voluntary Lucky for Life promotion. It's something like players can enter their non-winning LFL tickets in a second-chance drawing that is conducted at that retailer each week. And, in my mailbox today there was coupons in there for Buy One Lucky for Life ticket get one Lucky for Life ticket free. There is one in there for February and one in

Powerball winner from Indiana for 9/14
From the Powerbal Rules:If a prize is not claimed, then each lottery will treat that money in accordance with their state law or rules. Some lotteries are required to return the money to the players as prizes (you may have seen such things as a special second-chance drawing, etc.). Other lotteries can return the unclaimed prize money to the state's general fund. The claim period is set by each state lottery. It varies from 90 days to one year.It reverts back to the Indiana Lottery Rules, which a

Added Maryland raffle bonus draw results
well here it is the day before the drawing and they have sold a little over 210,000 tickets of the 420,000 they should have sold. I have just bought a second ticket so my chance of wining something are looking a little better. I don't know why they haven't sold out the drawing unless they haven't advertised enough, or people here aren't interested. Good luck to all who have bought a ticket.

Probabilty of Someone Winning a PB & MM Jackpot in the same Week!
John has it exactly right, assuming one ticket for each drawing. The fact that a bunch of posters here don't understand the math doesn't change the facts. Having two tickets makes you twice as likely to win, whether it's two tickets for one drawing or one ticket for each of two drawings. The chances of two events happening is the probability of one event time the probabilty of the second event, so the chances of winning PB and MM when you buy one ticket for each of two drawings ineach game is

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
The Megamillions has rolled over again, and the cash value has risen. Based on sales, the cash value reached $113.1 and is expected to rise to $131.4, the annuity value from $165M to $192. This means that the lottery expects to sell about $57.9 tickets. From these values I estimate the probability of various numbers of winners as follows:071.93%123.70%23.90%30.43%40.04%The lottery's own last prediction of how many tickets they would sell was unusually close. Graphically, one sees some eviden

PB Drawing for Saturday 12-18-04
No, the odds of matching all 5 in a 5/53 game are 1:2,869,685. That never, ever changes.I've broken up the odds into a two-step analysis, pertinent to your challenge. If you manage to secure all 5 numbers drawn within your 10 selected, then you've got a 1:252 shot of matching all five on any given line. The second step is conditional upon the first. The If odds (having all 5 numbers) are 1:11,387.63888. The Then odds are 1:252. 11,387.63888 * 252 = 2,869,685 (subject to rounding discrepanc

Anyone have a system for picking numbers for the Jackpot.
The best thing you can do is observe past results. Let me preface that by saying all it has yielded me is about 10% average per draw, so take all of this with a grain of salt. Let's start by analyzing today's Mega Millions numbers and how I break it down: 7-9-24-38-52 +1 124789 3-3 The second group of numbers is the listing of the single digit 'weight' sequence of each - I saw a term on here what that weight is called, it slips my mind. The third group being the odd/even split which has on

3 draws to go. Do you still think someone will win before 2016?
Still possible, but I say there will be no Christmas or New Years jackpot winners. because MM sales were 18,5 million sales and PB was slightly less at 17.5 million making both less than a 7% chance. Yeah, I loaded up too. First you say there will be no jackpot winners this year and then say you're not only buying tickets for those drawings, but you're loading up . Lots of LP members posted they play for the 5 + 0 prize which makes sense because there is a second prize winner ever

Anyone playing the new Monopoly Millionaires' Club game?
Some people are going to be constant players, some like me will wait for the jackpot to be capped at $25 million and then some before playing, others will not touch the $5 price per ticket. The odds for possibly winning are poorer than MM or PB before the second prize amounts start going up into the 40's or 50's. While there is the online drawing occurring to bring people onto a game show there will only be 3 people chosen per state to have a chance for $100k then the top winner can choose to

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
The Megamillions has rolled over again, and the cash value has risen. Based on sales, the cash value reached $131.5 and is expected to rise to $153.9, the annuity value from $262 to $310. This means that the lottery expects to sell about $90M tickets. From these values I estimate the probability of various numbers of winners as follows:059.92%130.69%27.86%31.34%40.17%50.02%We now see that the most probable outcome, based on this data, is yet another rollover. The second most probable outcome
