Should PB MM be tax-free/lump sum
Actually the tax for the Feds is closer to 35% which they will tell you when your winnings are transferred into your account. Had a friend who won an OH Lotto Jackpot many years ago with a group from his work and they informed him and each of the others that he/they would owe more at the end of the year to the Feds. Their excuse is that if a person should make a large contribution to charity that first year--then it would significantly reduce their tax responsibility so they underwithhold o

Does hindsight have you frustrated?
My point was that with a pick that close, it could happen again. It gives me shivers that I might pick the right numbers next time. Does anybody else ever feel that way? Has this happened to you? Did you forget to play your numbers one week and they won a large jackpot? Have you seen the numbers in a win and thought how obvious this was and you should have seen it sooner? It can happen again so you keep trying. My wording and God sent these numbers, but I just didn't pick up on it wa

so you've just won the lottery
1. Would you tell anyone you just hit it big?If I won a huge amount that would put me in the papers and news, I would do the anonymous trust. I am not totally against having people know I won, but I am against it for at least a year - until I get organized, moved with new phone number, have all the money and investments secure, have consulted with whoever I need to and have some idea of what the future will be. I don't want to get questions and begging until I'm ready. 2. What bank would you pic

so you've just won the lottery
Hi! I'm relatively new to LotteryPost but have been having lots of fun reading the postings... 1-Would you tell anyone you just hit it big? I'd tell my son and my best friend... after swearing them to secrecy. .... and after I'd collected I'd go to my work site, make a large copy of the cartoon I've had on my desk for ages (Farsides-angry looking guy in a suit gaping at guy wearing Hawaiian shirt with ukulele stretched out in a hammock that's strung between desks in an office caption- Bill can

I spent $100 on mega millions quick pics
Hi, welcome to the help grayfox forum, (hey I private messaged him myself).O.K. now on to the whole quickpick problem. If you are going to spend $100 on any kind of pick your number lottery, there are systems and angles that will help you recover some money if you can pick one or two winning numbers.Lets say you felt lucky with the number 10. If you put that number on all or half of your tickets and it comes up then you just need two more hits per ticket to win some cash. I am explaining this

Ask for money
My personal feeling, I already know I'm not going to give money directly to strangers in need. I would no doubt give money to charities (and even then, it's not going to be much...just enough where I'd enjoy a tax benefit. Probably give a few bucks to my fraternity's education fund, since that's a charity. Pay my sister's mortgage off (she doesn't even have to ask...that's what and how we do things in my family) under the strict condition (contract) that she does not use her paid off house to fi

Ask for money
In a short answer, No, I don't think it is right for a complete stranger to ask for money. BUT, in today's economy, I do understand why someone would ask. Again, desperate times--blah blah blah. When we win, I don't even plan on telling my in-laws. They are currently going through bankruptcy, which is ironic because we went through it last year and got the disapproving remarks made about us when we went through it. I know they'd be here in a second for a handout, so it's always been our plan

PA Lucky for Life
Glad to see the positive intents paying nicely! Congrats to you for such lovely payouts! It really does seem when ya stop trying soo hard that Lady luck taps ya with some wonderful gifts! I jumped for joy back in April when I hit a PA pick three straight! I had inadvertently forgot my play sheet and somehow blurted out a number, and it won! Rarely can I pick numbers out of the blue, then the very next day the number I predicted hit straight! ( Yet I didnt play that one cuz I was testing my

what would worry you the most??
Personal and family safety issues would probably be the biggest worry. As an older woman living alone and with neighbors who travel a lot, I might have to move to a more protected area or hire a bodyguard. And my relatives who work at a prison know too many bad guys who are now out and might see them as good subjects for kidnapping, if they should learn these individuals are related to me. Needy friends and family is not likely to be a concern. I can't imagine any of my elderly friends a

I hope it (Powerball) rolls again
I guess it's a good thing I said random stranger. Consider two choices. You could share an amount you choose with the strangers that charities have decided are deserving, or you could share 2/3 with Jack Whittaker and David Edwards. Which would you do? I, OTOH, might choose to share with charities that don't give the money to people. I think you may be one of the people who has mentioned animals as a worthy cause. How much does it cost to build 50 animal shelters, or spay and neuter 250,000 d
