those prizes were for a different game - not megamillions. different rules (1:80 mil odds) and in only 7 states. mega never had such a big prize hence the current dissapointment in it - it was called the big game . also if you compare the recent powerball jackpot increases they seem to be decreasing. i think the days where it would go from 200 to 300 are over mostly because of the crappy economy. last time powerball broke 200 the next prize only went upto 240 so i doubt any giant increases are
