Today ends my scratch off days.
I play Louisiana's pick 5 game, which is called Easy 5, and Lotto (pick 6). I only play Powerball on my own when it hits $100 million. I also have my lottery pool at work which plays Powerball and Lotto. I'm thinking of instituting a similar rule for playing Lotto on my own, i.e. only playing it myself when it reaches a certain level, and just buying Easy 5 for myself. As for scratch offs, I seldom play them even though the odds of winning something(not necessarily the jackpot) are higher

Is there a secret to winning?
I rarely play scratch offs, but occasionally do. The most I've won instantly is $25 from a ticket. Back when the Powerball Instant Millionaire TV show was still on, I played that one regularly and always sent in my ENTRY tickets. I did win on the second chance drawing $100 once, but that's the best I've ever done.

Which scratchers do you play?
I most often play $2 tickets, but sometimes $1. I've played 2 of the Louisiana Lottery $1,000,000 dollar superdraw $10 tickets. This ticket has a maxium prize of $100,000 and if the ticket isn't a winner, we can mail it in for a second chance drawing for $1,000,000.My wife and I have only done 2 of those, we couldn't afford to do it alot. $30 Scratcher
Louisiana has a $10 scratch off ticket called $1,000,000 spectacular. It has odds of winning something of 1:3.03. Maximum prize on a scratch off is $200,000 and losing tickets can enter in a second chance drawing of $1,000,000.The highest price I've seen in Louisiana is $10. They did once have a $10 scratch off that had a guaranteed winning price of $5. I thought that was just a gimmick to dress up a $5 ticket.http://www.lalottery.com PrisonerSix

In some respect, it is a little comforting to know that at least one more million dollar prize was floating around. The lotto website shows six $1M prizes remaining. But their press release today on the winner was silent on the number of prizes. The release simply said: The $25 game, 100X THE CASH, offers top prizes of $1 million and $5 million. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-2.86. I think they know that there are not six $1M prizes floating around. At this point, maybe the

I also discovered that **winning** Lotto tickets are eligible for the second chance drawing if you enter them before turning them in. Not winning scratch tickets, just winning Lotto tickets. You can also enter the Lotto tickets before the drawing. Checking the rules, it also appears that you don't have to have the winning Lotto ticket to claim the prize.

I've double checked them. I guess I just ran into some very bad luck today. I entered the Flamingo tickets in the second chance drawing, but doubt I'll win anything. On the facebook page, there were people with more than 2k+ entries during the first drawing. Anyway, I guess I need to learn not to splurge and to be more responsible in buying small tickets here and there.

Post your scratch ticket results
James, I have been tempted to try that also since the game is new. I have never bought a roll of $5 games. For this game, I have $65 of losing tickets entered into the second chance drawing. (13 tickets) I have won a total of $55 on this game. ( One winner of $30, one of $15, one of $10) So: 16 bought at $5 each = $80 spent over all 3 won for a total of $55 in winnings LOSS of $25 over all, with 13 entries into the second chance drawing. (Basically to make you feel good

Are Second Chance Drawings Rigged?
Of course, won't apply to areas where these aren't held... For others, how many tickets would you estimate you have entered? Per drawing, overall? Mail in or online? Have you won a second chance drawing? Have you checked results over a prolonged time period and tend to see the same names popping up? Other comments?

Any GA players?
So, Im still playing maximum green and winning a handful of $100 prizes here and there. I'm feeling opimistic about the second chance drawing because there have been a ton of people winning 2-3 different times. According to yesterday's drawing Douglas Oliver from ALbany won again after winning in May. I saved all the tickets I bought last month and will just submit them for next month's drawing with the ones I wil buy soon. It seems like either not many people participate in the drawing or there
