CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
They have a short article about the $10 20x Crossword http://www.calottery.com/Media/Press-Releases/Press-Release?Item={EA35A9BD-327E-4AD6-A391-5FE9695A1AD3} I suppose with high volume of playing and these possible outcomes, I will probably avoid any sort of crossword games now. I predict the next $10 game to come out will be another 20x Crossword

Thanks for the clarification. Not sure what incentive the clerk will get out of it, but I know its 1% for the low tier winners. The article about the 20X The Money top prize winner is on the webpage: http://www.calottery.com/media/press-releases/press-release?Item={5128DE86-A641-4D1C-AE08-503AE57D8CD0}

Thanks. Yeah, I saw the other thread later on too, after the fact. At this point, I can't delete my post here, so you may want to reference it. I forgot to mention that independent auditors are also involved, so there's another layer. I believe the article was in response to the scandal involving a corrupt lottery security official that knew where winning tickets were being sold, and sent his cronies to buy up rolls/packs of tickets to win the top prize.

Post your scratch ticket results
Guess it was the whole gift idea of not giving them a potential zero.lol I would play a $50 one to say I played it, but no way could I chase. Even at the casino in slots, I never venture over the $1 machine. Guess one day I should try one of the big $ slots to see what happens. Guess the $100 per pull doesn't pay $20 guaranteed back:) Found this 2002 press release http://www.casinocitytimes.com/news/article/pennsylvania-lottery-launches-holiday-instant-ticket-games-130188

Nice Gift!
Not true. Why would they get taxed twice? You can give away up to a million dollars in your lifetime without owing gift tax. The recipient of a gift doesn't pay tax. FYI http://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/the_gift_tax_turbotax/article

Scratcher tricks to success
Good for you. Don't believe it. I notice the same thing in Georgia. But believe it or not I read where in one state not only do they keep track of the roll a big win ticket is in but also where it goes. I read the article on this website. But I can't remember the state. I do believe that all states have the same basic rules. So yeah, nc knows, not only what roll but also where it goes. I wrote the ga lottery comms. about the same thing. All big winning tickets were in the same area. It was unbel

distribution of instant game tickets
I found a little bit of information from this article: Because tickets are printed randomly, lottery officials do not know where those winning tickets might have been sold, or whether they were sold at all. Anyone here have more information on the instant games ? I guess I'm just curious about how all this works, because I don't want to throw money away on scratch-offs if the games aren't really random. I've played jackpot games for a while, but I may start buying scratch-offs, too.

Winning Scratch Offs
The Fifth Estate reported that retailers in Ontario won large prizes nearly 200 times in the past seven years. With an estimated 60,000 retailers working in the province, a University of Toronto statistician, who crunched numbers for the television show, said the chance of retailers winning that often is about one chance in a trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion. He estimated the number of wins should be closer to 57. Lottery officials later revised the number of retailers and clerks i

How to pick a winning scratch off
Dear Jagcatfan: I read your article the other day and decided to try it out. I've always said that there is a way to pick scratch of tickets better than just selecting the first one. So with that said, I went to a variety store and picked a Bingo Ticket for $3. The ticket Number was 004. Guess what, I won $3. Big deal you say...well let me continue on. Today(August 2/05) I went to a different store and purchased 5 'Money Bags' scratch off and guess what...I won on 142 144 146 ticket numbers for
