Biggest Scratch Prize ever
Sorry, I should have specified that I am looking for the highest Cash Prize payout *NOT* annuity. Also, I'm looking at actual scratch payouts and *NOT* the second chance drawings. That Billion dollar prize will never be won. I read the rules for that and it is pretty much rigged so that nobody will ever win that. In fact in the first version of that game the most anybody won on the second chance was $2 million but I don't know if that was cash or annuity. The second version has started wit

Is ezmatch the way to go with Fantasy 5? I've also read a lot of people say Cash 3 is the best game to play as far as odds, which I haven't really looked at on these games. Question on the FL scratchers where top prize is 500k or less. I know on the 1M or more top prizes, there is a lump sum/annuity, however is there also a lump sum/annuity on the 500k or less top prizes? In the news section on the FL Lottery site, it never mentions a lump sum amount for the 500k winner announcements, so not

New York instant scratch off tickets - new tickets with less odds to win
only if u take the annuity, lump sum is around $800,000 (still better than IL that uses 60% of the annuity value for lump sums - do not want to know what they are investing their money in) but still what is it w NY and those $8 and $80s (all the $2 games seem to have $8 prizes, uno has an $80 prize i think, golden ticket w an $80 prize, playbook as well) the $1 is a total money waster - just want to play $10 worth to prove they suck haha

NY Scratch-off Discussion
im going to play about seven $10 tickets in NJ today, because i have a few extra bucks to spend. the ones i always go for are the $700,000 top prize, because its never annuity if you win it. theres about 1 out of 3 remaining and the 2 games are pretty old, so who knows. the only good thing about NJ ticks are that the website updates exactly how many tickets are outstanding and how many winners left for the THREE top prizes, not just the top prize. the funny thing is this. if you win a $1mi

Beer store has these tickets
i relayed your comment to chad g. petey. he said billy willy's beer store sells $8 scratchers where the top prize is beer for life paid out as a 37 year annuity. he also said the odds of winning are 1 in pineapple. none of that sounds correct, but you are very loyal to chad so i'll let you work it out.

Thanks for breaking it down even further for us simpletons lol. When the person I know who won $1 million on 500x said their annuity option was 25 years I was taken aback because in the past it was 20 years, so that definitely changed. So definitely worth sticking with older tickets for better payouts.

500X the Cash is a straight cash payout minus taxes. 1 Million a Year for Life is an annuity, which would be paid out as 1 million a year for twenty-five years. If you take the cash option, you receive the amount that they would have to invest over 25 years to pay that amount (which is less than the full 25 million.)

Hey Speeddmon, in the end it's kinda a crap shoot, The tax load on an annuity, everything else equal, will be less, but then again the money now factor/need may come in to play (let alone how long one plans to live), so break out the crystal ball lol

New Scratchers out and about...
The new $20 scratcher has a top prize of $5 mill paid as a 25-year annuity. In fact, all CA scratchers with top prizes over a mill are annuities, such deceptive advertising they use to lure players. If you want a nice payday immediately, avoid all of the $20 and $30 tickets like wuhan plague. Also mind the stated overall odds -- they include the free ticket prizes. You need to click on the link to the prize sheet and do the math by hand to work out the cash odds.
