I am a new member here and saw this NC thread. I live in the Winston Salem area and a couple of months ago won 2700 on pick 4. I ran in a road race with my son and played my 4 digit race badge number and woke up the next morning and saw that I won. Until then my biggest win was 500.00 on a 20.00 scratchy. I have been playing the lottery for about 3 years. I rarely buy scratch offs (the 500.00 I won was the result of a 100.00 win in pick 4 and traded it in for 5 20.0 scratch off tickets). I also

If you are spending $7000+ each year on the lottery, I suggest you lay off the scratchers. Play Pick 3 or Pick 4 if your state has Pick 4. The odds are much, much better, and it's great entertainment. Personally, I play all the jackpot games in my state, and I play the Pick 4 game . I still lose more than I win, but I limit my play to $1 per draw except PB and MM, I play $2 per draw on those. Actually, scratch offs have much better overall odds and return than pick 4. You will both lose more often and lose a greater percentage when playing pick 4 than you will playing scratch offs. Either way you lose though, the statistics of the lottery demand it. But with the instant nature of scratch offs, you can lose a lot *faster* if you aren't careful, so only spend what you feel comfortable with losing.

I don't have to worry because scratchers aren't really my thing. I just hate the mess after done scratching them. Would rather play Pick 3/4 and my biggest win ($200) so far has come from pick 4.

yes i agree but they make alot of extra off scratchoffs, pick 3, 4 cash 5 and powerball. in the first 4 days of pick 4 ncel made 800,000

I've won $500.00 ten different times on Jumbo bucks and won $577.00 on a Ruby Red ticket...Won 3099.00 on pick 4 two weeks ago by playing 6777, Jumbo Bucks have really sucked lately so I no longer buy them, I have more luck with the pick 3 and 4 games...

I went to my local Publix in Ocoee this morning to buy my daily pick and pick 4 tickets and saw they finally put the new Gold Rush out. I was excited and bought 3 tickets. #03-05. Went to my car, scratched them and all losers. Irritated by the loss after seeing the winners on here I went across the street and bought 2 more from Winn Dixie. #27 and 28. Both losers. $100 loss in about 20 minutes from the new Gold Rush. I will stick with the pick 3 and pick 4 and leave the scratchers for everyone e
