Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Spot on, Gators! Folks, traditionally for prizes of $1M or more the FL Lotto offers 2 payment options; a fixed payment per year over a given number of years (usually 25), or a one-time lump sum. As new games with prizes at $1M or more are released, the FL Lotto essentially locks in pricing for the fixed payment option with an insurance company. These financial products are referred to as Fixed Immediate Annuities, and are among the most stable annuity products available. If someone elects th

So you're saying it's better to take the lump sum than the annuity? I've always wanted the annuity option (at least for life games). I knew about the trusts so you won't be taxed though.

Beer store has these tickets
i relayed your comment to chad g. petey. he said billy willy's beer store sells $8 scratchers where the top prize is beer for life paid out as a 37 year annuity. he also said the odds of winning are 1 in pineapple. none of that sounds correct, but you are very loyal to chad so i'll let you work it out.

Thanks for breaking it down even further for us simpletons lol. When the person I know who won $1 million on 500x said their annuity option was 25 years I was taken aback because in the past it was 20 years, so that definitely changed. So definitely worth sticking with older tickets for better payouts.

500X the Cash is a straight cash payout minus taxes. 1 Million a Year for Life is an annuity, which would be paid out as 1 million a year for twenty-five years. If you take the cash option, you receive the amount that they would have to invest over 25 years to pay that amount (which is less than the full 25 million.)

Hey Speeddmon, in the end it's kinda a crap shoot, The tax load on an annuity, everything else equal, will be less, but then again the money now factor/need may come in to play (let alone how long one plans to live), so break out the crystal ball lol

Tennessee puts out first 50 dollar scratch off
Good lord.....They still don't have a $4M winner for the Gigantic Jumbo Bucks (#1891)and thats been out for years. I started following the $20 game #374 ( $3,000,000 Mega Cash) back in June of 2018. There was finally a grand prize winner last April/May 2022..... Can you imagine how long it is going to take to have a $5 Million dollar winner ???? Noooooooo Thank you Rebecca !!! How about posting the Cash value of the MM and PB and Lotto America games instead of just the Annuity dollar amount

California Scratch Offs
Hi Fun, I've always claimed in person. I've both read on the boards and chatted with folks here in FL who've sent in via mail and never had a problem, but I'm always thinking I'll be the exception, lol. My nearest office is about an hour away so not a terrible drive. I'll save a couple/few before making the trip. If I ever won a top prize (i.e. one which offers a lump sum or annuity) I'd probably set up a trust and have it claim instead of me as an individual. In this state prizes more than $

Here's the final info table on the new $50 game. With the second $25M on the 500X still unclaimed it will still be getting some play from me, but I'll be trying this new one as well. Here's some additional observations ...The new $50 game odds are very similar to the current one at all levels except $1M, which the new game is significantly better. This alone increases overall payout for the new game to 82%, compared to the 500X's 78%. Lump sum payouts (as compared to taking the annuity) for the

Here's the odds table for the new $50 500X (game #1555). Prize odds compared to the original 500X game are close, with some $ slightly better, and others worse...but $50K appears a bit better, although it's only a sliver of the game total. Slightly higher overall % payout over the original 500X results in a lower win odds on this new game, down to 1/4.2, vs the existing $50 odds of 1/.4.5 Note: There are LOTS more 500X wins in this version compared to the original, as the relatively o
