Maybe in the near future payouts in PA will improve given the news I read about your lottery. Good luck.

Welcome back Chdicki, and I'm glad to hear you're doing well. You'll be in my prayers, although it sounds like the chemo treatment is going well. I can't even begin to imagine the challenges you've faced this past year with lung cancer. I remember reading through many of your posts from back in the day, chdicki. I'm wishing you all the best of luck on the new $1 and $2 tickets, and that your health continues to improve for the better.
@ Ronnie - Thanks for pointing out chdicki's post to

So this afternoon I drove out to this store to see if my luck improves. It didn't.
I purchased 4 of the new $25 Florida Cash and 4 new $5 Cascading Cash. All losers. This store didn't improve my luck any. I can get losers lke this at my local Publix and Winn Dixie.
It was worth a try.

Scratch-Off Tickets bought by the pack/roll
I am no statistician or math guru and never won more than $1000 on a scratchoff. However I can not figure out how one and done vs buying a roll vs any other method I see talked about in here is any better. Seems to me its all blind luck unless you know everything that was played off of any given roll and know exactly how many prizes are available at that given second. The odds are very much against us no matter what we do. I have bought several rolls over the years and never even broke even. I h

I play all different ways but my preferred way is to buy $100 worth at a time and buy say 4 $5 tickets from a single roll, a different 4 $5 tickets, maybe 2 $10, one $20 etc. Scratch all those , cash the smaller winners in and buy more from the rolls I did not win on.
Seems logical to me when every roll in Texas has a minimum amount of wins on every roll that you might as well buy from the same roll. You have no idea if the person before you just won a million dollars are if it was the 10th

How to pick games
Chris$ - you're correct. Almost every state pulls games. It's the nature of the business for some states, pulling games is a KEY way that they increase the profitability of their business. I see it in PA every week and my local retailer is annoyed with me always asking for the best games - they simply say 'that games closed'. In reality it means - he doesn't have that game for sale anymore. It doesn't mean someone else in PA doesn't still have that game for sale. And yes - more than likely, the

I've been trying to be positive for a long time. But I don't think we can all be wrong. If it was just me, I'd think it was my timing/luck. But even the clerks at Giant seem to silently agree when I complain about the games. These are clerks who play. The winners have to be out there, but I don't think spending lots of money will improve chances much. Something just feels very different than before. Even the $2 games, which pretty regularly used to pay at least $10, don't very often now.

To ronkenneth: I am shocked to hear you have never hit $500 on a Scratcher, especially buying whole rolls of the $20 games. That sounds like some bad luck, on top of the usual stinginess of the lottery. I used to get $100 wins so often and now they seem to have disappeared altogether, although I started getting better at $200-$500 prizes. But only 6 $500's in almost 3 years. I hope your bad spell ends soon or that you hit hit back to back $250's!

Little Experiment for my next vacation
If I were to do this experiment, I'd probably do something similar, like buy 5 of the ticket at one store, 5 at another, or maybe even all at the same time at the same store. If the odds are say 1:4, in theory at least 1 ticket out of the next 4 you buy should win something, in theory of course.
Another thing that might help improve the odds, if this option is available, is to check how many winners in each game are still out there. The Louisiana Lottery website has a whole page devoted to
