When will the Corona Virus hit LP?
The pangolins got a pass, not guilty. I saw the part about our funding the lab study on Tucker who does a pretty good job of getting things right. Not a big fan of any of the channels, they all make stuff up or lie by omission. He cut the CDC budget they screech. No, he raised the CDC budget. Actually he cut the next year's rate of increase. Say every year their budget goes up a million, and he cuts that in half, so it is cut for next year and raised too.
While back on this thread I posted

Update: Every US state lottery's COVID-19 response
Excellent article. Skimming through all the states impacted I did not like Idaho's lottery saying the Lottery will consider extending claiming periods for all winning tickets impacted by closures . Either you do or you don't, not a good time for indecisiveness.

Oregon man wins $6.3 million from free lottery ticket
Wow, so this happened 18 years ago? You obviously made a stink about being jipped out of millions of dollars. Hired an attorney to go to war for you, right? Where can l read the article?

Coronavirus has brought casino industry 'to a near standstill'
Purchased in Montvale, NJ. The New York Times had the article, didn't remember that it was the seven state BIG GAME though prior to Mega Millions! Guess you could say he was really pushing the envelope.

Coronavirus has brought casino industry 'to a near standstill'
Not good @ dates of things, but certainly it is somewhere in LP postings. A man mailed a multi-million dollar ticket from N. NJ..Newark area I think instead of driving to Trenton. It got there in there in the nick of time. Article said his wife wasn't too happy with him when she found out!

Michigan Lottery has few options to stop players who spend millions
did a lousy job of writing an article that has to do with the lottery.
The headline is players but the article only mentions one player. Apparently it happened in 2017 with no follow up on what the Michigan Lottery is currently doing to limit how much a player can wager on a drawing.
to try to slow his gambling by limiting terminals to $5,000 in play per day.
And it looks like they are confusing how much one player can spend and cumulative purchases by many players. If someone buys $5

Michigan Lottery has few options to stop players who spend millions
Sounds like the Mi. lottery is trying to do some spin.
It sounds like a reporter who doesn't know anything about the lottery did a lousy job of writing an article that has to do with the lottery.
The only problem I see here is using investors money to play the lotto
It's a lousy article and you've only seen a tiny part of the story. Based on some other reports it sounds like the guy was ripping people off and either laundering the money through the lottery or just feeding his addict

Michigan Lottery has few options to stop players who spend millions
The article says the terminals were limited to $5000 daily, not specifically his play. That's why he had someone working full-time purchasing lottery tickets for him.

Michigan Lottery has few options to stop players who spend millions
He caught another large hit betting $800 on pick-4 number. But the article said they are going to limit his play to only $5000 every drawing and with two draws a day that adds up to $3.65 million a year. If he's showing a profit bet it's lower than even money.

Despite predictions, state lottery ticket sales have not been hurt by casinos
Visiting Plainridge casino a few years ago found a MA lottery machine...in an obscure location around the corner by the elevator going to the casino. I agree, casinos don't influence lottery sales one way or the other as mentioned in this article.
