You Just Won The Lottery!
I know Ohio is always included in that list but you can only be annoymous under a very specific set of circumstances. Basically by having a blind trust claim the prize. Shudder. No way would I do that. I guess I am a control freak but I wouldn't want others managing my money for me.

$550 MILLION: Mega Millions holiday bonanza!
I have two questions. Who would do a blind trust? And if nobody wins Tuesday how much would it be on Friday?

well the winner still haven't come forward yet $590 Mil PB
If I won that, the attorney would be called and set up a blind trust... even with that said, friends and family would soon catch on and maybe not be able to keep their mouth shut. With that kind of money, you can't avoid all family... when they see you're living a multi million dollar estate all of a sudden and have a fleet of exotics, they can figure it out

Record Powerball jackpot won by 1 ticket
My understanding was (of that comment) that one couldn't claim the jackpot as a blind trust unless it was established before the drawing... Maybe I was off? :-/

$350 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot soars
Texas has Limited Publicity as an option. I believe that at least means no interview, no picture and/or no last name, and possibly blind trust claimants. But I don't know for sure. I'd have the lawyers figure that one out. Being single and living alone (except for critters and my Glock) I'd be okay with just first name and home town, no picture, no interview.

$320 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot goes through the roof
Always take the cash option. Contact a tax attorney. Setup a blind trust (remain anonymous) if you die, you will have a will, the money can be given to whomever you wish.

Georgia construction worker collects $50M Mega Millions win
I never thought that it was public record. It's a little overboard for some, but you can play hot potato with a few trusts and liquidate it to our in your accounts. Would this be worth the effort? A blind trust costs $2500, at least that's the number I've seen.

Kansas Mega Millions winner claims jackpot anonymously
To keep my name out of it, I woud be willing to play paperwork hide and go seek. I read somewhere that a blind trust was just for claiming the winnings you form another one to actually keep funds in.

Who signs the back of the Mega ticket if you win and want to be anonymous?
Blind Trust sounds great on paper. Just way too much power for in most cases a total stranger. If a single winner wins this world record jackpot, I don't think a trust is going to stop someone from gettting the story of who won...It could actually blow up in your face and bring even more attention to the person. I think I would go the disguise and name change route if I'm lucky enough to be the only winner...The less people involved in controlling the jackpot the better imop.

$500 MILLION: Mega Millions sets all-time lottery jackpot record
Actually no it won't if you claim via an LLC blind trust. Others have done that before and remained anonymous. At least for the most part.
