If the game goes from midday to midday with the two digit return, I like the overdue, 068, or the 588, anything with the 88x, Maybe the long awaited, 589, if the same sum repeats? If you feel your brother is sending you a message to play the lottery, what does it matter if you choose the numbers or if you just do a quick pick? If it was meant to be, it will happen regardless, right? I often read that winners feel some particular urge to play the lottery that day and won, but then again, there are surely a lot of people who felt an urge and lost, too. In any event, I am sorry about your brother and his daughter growing up without knowing her dad.

ROJH, anyone who doesn't go to the Lottery Terminal and ask for a Quick Pick (therefore filling out a bet slip) falls in the category of playing an algorithm. I've always thought of an algorithm being more precise and defined than that. Under your definition anyone playing birthday or their favorite numbers are playing an algorithm. That would include anyone who used the LP RNG and copied the results to a play slip.

From the Missouri Lottery Website: Quick Pick tickets are generated randomly by the terminal at the retailer, and there is no central computer that is controlling ticket generation.
