PB and MM draws can not be accurately compared. Especially with the starting point of the MM $50 and the PB at $20M. As it takes the PB at least 3 rollover draws to get into the $50M range. Give the MM a year, so the participants can get used to the $5 fee. Get the PB folks to restart that game at the $40 Million as promised on the last matrix change. We are also skipping Mega Millions this week. Waiting for the jackpot to get a lot bigger. At least bigger than Powerball. My reasons are very different than MM's reasons, but I'm hoping that we'll see a ridiculously large jackpot in 3 months or so. By that time PB will either have been won or be well beyond the current record. Either way, at $5 per ticket for essentially the same odds I think it's foolish to buy a MM ticket unless it's substantially bigger than PB. Regardless of what PB is

The Mega Millions jackpot is growing slower than last time because it is being over shadowed by the much larger Powerball jackpot. And/or more of the people who aren't addicted are sitting it out for more general reasons about MM itself. The sales forecast for Friday are up about 5% over the previous Friday, so maybe we'll see another modest increase for Friday 8/1, too.
