You are covering almost a 17 year period of time. It would have to be at least 150 minimum easily i would guess. If only 12 people had won since 1995 there would have been jackpots won that were worth several billions of dollars. That is of course true, but what I mean by freak accident is that the previous sales and jackpot levels were relatively low, allowing for it to climb slowly, and then around Christmas the interest increased stronger than in the years before, allowing these massive jumps between jackpot levels.
