Wow, thanks Sandy K !I too would like to thank everyone here who replies to questions...MikeK for one has been of great help showing me easier formulas to accomplish several things I had worked out with excel... four4me,Using Excel, and doing copying and pasting, I combined all of the lists Maryland offers on their web site this morning. They have the old one you menioned, plus a 2002 plus apartial 2003 (Until March) and the recent ones form April 2003 until now. I just put them all together and cleaned them up using Excel.So the result is a decent list form the beginning to now, that can easily be updated form now on.Good Luck!

Using somebody elses finished product robs you of the educational experience. It would have been easy to download someone elses excel sheets to keep my lottery data, but I would have missed out on the process of learning excel...

Todd, my original post had Excel and Word cut and paste portions in it. I had done this before but in order to try to make it go, I retyped the whole thing just using the Word program--text only. I thought that it was the Excel part that was interfering, and then....pooofff...it worked! Might have been a coincidence, but I tried not less than 12 times the other way without success.

thanks for the tip MikeK.I have 2 PCs, one with excel 2000 (office2k) and one with excel 2002 (officeXP), I used to have MOD formulas, but when bouncing them around between the 2 PCs over the home LAN, it always recalculates in XP if I modify it in 2k, and my solution, though less compact, seems to recalculate faster than when I used the MOD function.

Not sure how to do what you need... When I created my excel chart for the PA lottery, I used MS WORD as an intermediate step... copied the results right off of the web page, converted text to table , sorted ascending by date (they went the other way) and saved as a text file, from here it was easy to import into excel. This was necessary because PA separates results in pages by year. To copy the entire histories of mid 3, mid 4, eve 3 and eve 4 took less than 20 minutes.When the next draw happe

I just got finished importing all of my excel data into an MS access database, maybe I will have better luck there figuring out the counting of skips for use with backtesting...excel file is 36MB, access file is only 7 megs.. ;-)

anytime Sandy KNow If only I could figure out how to convert some excel skillz into lottery $$$, I hope you have much success with that part of it ;-)P.S. Nice formula MikeK, I never thought about that approach. A big plus AND minus with excel is how many ways you can end up with the same result... always cool to see new and different approaches...
