New York Take 5 (My Hometown)
Typical NY - doesn't want to cooperate! And further, as if to mock my attempts to predict it, I was given a 3 number hit with a quick pick! I also had your 1-35 free play. Well, anyway at least that covered my money and allows me to stay in the game.
Now - Why did you select 18 as a key?

Thanks Aleon!.......I'll hang in there......already went and bought a bunch more and 3 cash fives.....tried something new with the cash 5's last night and it was a dud!......do better with quick picks though I did stick with one set of numbers I use all the time for it. I got 4 out of 5 once with a quick pick.
Good luck to you too!

buying lottery tickets
Sometimes..depends. At 7-11 I once asked for 5 QPs for Fantasy 5 and got Lotto. Why should I spend an extra $5? I'm pretty easy-going, so I didn't play Fantasy 5 and just bought the Lotto tickets so I wouldn't hold up the line and nothing hit, not even 3 numbers. Now I never say Quick Pick when I play my numbers. If I want a QP I fill out a card and check the box. Just a side note..last time I did that, the clerk at Publix noticed and told me I didn't have to use a card for a QP. She was only tr

Lottery Post for iPhone earns Apple 'Staff Pick'
Lottery Post, the world's largest community of lottery players, today announced that the new iPhone Edition of its popular Web site was awarded a Staff Pick by Apple.
The iPhone, built by Apple, is a combination cell phone and handheld computer. It went on sale June, 2007, and has sold over 5 millions units. Apple claimed Thursday that the iPhone currently makes up 28% of the smartphone market.
The iPhone is an ideal platform for lottery results and other lottery-related content, said Tod

Quick Pick/Machine Pick
In most pick-5 games matching 2 out of 5 wins a prize even if it's a free ticket. The overall odds of winning any prize is around 1 in 10 so lots of people win prizes using QPs.
The overall odds of winning any prize is higher in Powerball (1 in 36) and Mega Millions (1 in 40) and there is statistic going around that says 80% of tickets sold are QPs. Assuming that is true, there were 2.2 million Quick Picks in last Fridays Mega Millions drawing that won a prize.

Is statistics method really useful to predict drawing number?
Fact: According to lottery officials, 80% of players choose quick picks. Only 20% pick their own numbers. But what they will also tell you is, Winners are split 50/50 between the two groups!
So, the 20% group wins 50% of the time!

Suggested QP VS Choosing Survey Project
Okay - here's a question. Maybe Todd has specific information, but are the results that are displayed the next morning with the location manually entered or does a computer list them? The reason for this curiosity is that many times 5 or 6 winners used their own numbers, not a QP as you suggest is more common. I mentioned this before, but look at last night's game (I won't list the stores to save space)
Five players matched all five winning numbers in the Friday drawing and will share a $2
