I can remember as a kid growing up in the early 1960's when my parents bought a NY Lottery ticket at a supermarket. Using a ballpoint pen, they had to fill out a paper slip at the cash register and got a carbon copy of it back from the person running the register. A week or so later, after all tickets were collected, they were placed in a huge rotating mesh drum that had a trap door on it. The drawing was televised showing the drum rotating. I stopped playing the Mega Millions after the price of tickets increased to $5. I play the Powerball every drawing, because I predict that Powerball will eventually raise the price of tickets to $5 to compete with Mega Millions. Lets face it, you know Mega Millions is now increasing their revenue with the jackpot at $800 million, because most people will buy at least one ticket even if the price is at $5.

Good point! I never looked at it that way. For $30, I could play $5 on 6 draws when MM is $700 million and grows to over $2 Billion. The problem I have is that it's just 1 ticket (1 Line) that I get for $5 each time. But for $30, I could play 1 PB ticket for 15 drawings. Also for Powerball, I could get 15 tickets on that drawing for that same $30.00 versus only 6 tickets for Mega Millions. Honestly, I wish the tickets were still just $1. Don't go too crazy over back to back repeat pairs in the same drawing. If you look at 2 months of draws mid, 2 months eve. they average about 5-6 times each draw over that 2 month period. I don't know about that big of a cool down on the dbls. Dbls this year. Jan 20- Feb 14- Mar 9- Apr 18- May 13- June 15- July 15- Aug 9- Sept 15- Oct 15 so far. Average thru Sept 14/month.

Congratulations t o all winners and posters on day drawing 6075 !! I had played 6087. So disappointed. But today is my Grandsons birthday so playing his birthday numbers tonight for sure! I did not re-add since thursday Fri day drawing 000 smh forgot to put it back in at night. I had played Triple Zero's 000 a few x this way all month. Just had a feeling premised on it has not hit for a minute. It is a work extension added at our cmpy., smh as 000 and other extension of ours is now added end of the year, as 1111 + 4444 so I hope some one here won Triple 000's last night. If not, good luck during next week drawings and the rest of this weekend.
