Is all this lottery research worth it?
Is all this lottery research worth it?-Goldeneye26In my opinion your question is a simple matter of choice. 70% of Powerball ticket sales are bought with a quick pick selection says the Powerball FAQ section. With that in mind most players of Powerball choose to let the terminal make its number selections. I do buy quick picks because of that reason with my entertainment dollars. But my greatest enjoyment from playing Powerball and other lottery games is the process it takes to get from a bl

Quick pics
The last couple days there have been multiple Quick pic first place winners in the NY Take 5 lottery.May 8: 2 out of 3 winnersMay 7: 3 out of 4 winnersThis is a 5/39 game with odds of 575,757 to 1 for a $1 bet of hitting the top prize.Looking at the amount paid to the winners and the advertised percentage payoff to the three tier prizes, sales amount to about $1,000,000 or combinations played each drawing.Seems a wee bit odd to me that a random number computer program would generate the same m

Number Systems and statistics.
The lottery terminals do not control the game this is not the matrix reloaded. It's just a quick pick generator that's inside each individual retailers lottery machine. According to some lottery officials each terminal is not connected to the central computers mainframe. I have my doubts about this but could be wrong. How else would they know where the winning tickets were sold. It is possible that after the drawing or when the drawing is cut off they feed the data to the mainframe via a data tr

Are Lotteries Rigged
For the last five years i swore up and down the California lottery was rigged. Then 3 months ago a kid down the street from me won $15 Million!!! on a $3 Quick Pick! I've known the guy for 10 years and believe me, he's gangbanger, been in and out of jail all his life, never worked, and is a stone alcoholic and druggie. If it was rigged, they wouldn't have chose him. The kid comes pullin up in a brand new truck, music bumpin loud, with a beer between his legs and still wearing the Lotto winner

Quick Picks Vs. Number Selection
The lottery terminal generates the quick picks using a random number generator within the teminal. The terminal does not check with the central computer prior to selection. After a quick pick is selected, the terminal sends the information to the central computer for the purpose of recording the transaction. The terminal does not print the ticket until the transaction has been sent to the central computer. The terminal must wait for a successful transmission of the transaction before printing to

Quick Picks Vs. Number Selection
re: ayenowitall-- I'm inclined to believe there may be some element of truth to the number selection theory and playing as early as possible. I recall selecting my own numbers for a powerball drawing and purposely tried to play those numbers as soon as the terminals were activated. The numbers that were drawn that night matched my first 3 numbers exactly. I thought it more than just a coincidence. On the other side, regarding playing quick picks later in the day....I've read several single
