Machines can pick some strange numbers for New York lottery players, but this story is among the strangest we've seen.
Wade Corbett. I purchased a $2 Lotto Quick Pick for the Sept. 29 drawing. The next day, I bought a second one for the same drawing. After the Lotto drawing, I checked my tickets. To my big surprise, on bot

Anybody Ever Win?
Ok. So if I understand correctly.
1) Most people selling systems have never won....probably never even played
You think Gail Howard has ever won?
2) Those who may have some sort of software/system are probably doing so well that they don't need to be bothered with public sales.
Gee Bob P. I hope you are not right about your statement that someone who gets three out of five is not close...or on the right track . I mean just last night, I had three out of five in three separa

Va and Tx 5th - 11th
The past year has been very dismal for ole Duke, Emma Lou, and I with respect to Pick 3 and now Pick 4 - except for all of the wonderful people on LP who have tried to help us with PM's and telephone calls. I pray EVERY day for two of you. We have purchased and tried just about every piece of worthy software out there, and there are some good ones.
However, we have found THE HOLY GRAIL of the lottery. We won TWO QUICK PICKS this past week!!! The first was a PICK 3 STRAIGHT for 50 cents = $250

Which is the better way to play??
Based on your avatar and name I would never have guessed
that.
I play pick 4. I will buy a quick pick on pb and sometimes mm if I happen to cross the border into va.
on two occassions in the last mo I have had all 4 # but wrong order. i picked up a couple hundred for my effort, (box) but that started me thinking about my method of playing especially when I have a good feeling about one set of numbers.
It seems to me to make sense to play box only and load up when it feels good. p

Tenn. Lottery players complaining over switch from numbered balls
This is an incredible sequence of numbers! For both the Pick 3 and Pick 4 to have no doubles for this length of time is impossible, if you look at the odds. I completely agree that something very wrong is happening here.
Tennessee lottery players, you have my sympathies. Your lottery appears to be screwed up.
Tennessee Lottery: What a bright decision to look a gift horse in the mouth, and to throw away real drawings for this nonsense.
Those who want to try this out at home: Go t

The Real Deal
Badger, tnlotto1
You're right, but I think that maybe, maybe people can study and research and maybe figure out a way to hit a Pick 3 occassionally, but I don't think anyone here or any of us know anyone actually making a living from it.
Systems sellers will tell you they are but truth is they're selling their systems for money so they can play more or keep playing.
Beyond Pick 3, especially when it comes to jackpot games, to think you could figure out a system to overcome odds in the

NO NO, NO!!
But I'll take anything the lottery wants to give away!!
Texas used to have Cash 5 and Pick 3 specials, but one of the commissioners (who knows a lot about
casino gambling, but little about lotteries) objected and questioned whether or not the good deal for players actually increased sales and brought about higher profits.
The lottery staff apparently got scared and discontinued the practice.
There was a recent MegaMillions special (1 free quick pick if a player bough

kentucky and computerized draws
I agree with Badger, it is a business. As long as they can sell tickets they have every reason to cut cost. I believe most players do not know nor care how the numbers are selected or what the odds are.
I was in line yesterday, person in front of me saw the promo for the 3 line game. Knew nothing about it but wanted to play $10.00. quick pick of course
sales start today.
I enjoy the chalenge of trying to pick #'s. I have no expectaction that I can really beat the odds. My reward is t

Why Quick Picks win...Hint: It's *NOT* what you think, folks!
Although I play my own numbers every week, I also buy QPs once in a while and agree that many times the numbers don't follow any type of logical sequence. However, I believe when we are dealing with games with odds exceeding 1:140 million or even the state lottery games with odds over 1:20 million, there ARE NO logical number sequences. I mean, if out of over 100 million possible combinations only 6 balls are drawn, the so-called experts are spitting into the wind. If you were playing Blackja
