if you won the lottery would you start your own cult?
If you have a lot of money and want to avoid taxes there's a lot of merit to starting a cult. Of course you'll have to call it a religion when you talk to the IRS, but it's not anything they haven't seen before.

Do You Consider Your Life Experience With The Lottery To Have Been Positive?
For me gambling has been like a religion. What I mean by that is we believe that by believing in a higher power and being a good person, some day we will be rewarded with paradise, heaven, etc. Playing the lottery for me hasn't been great to be honest but I can't stop now after having invested so much time, money and effort. I'm still hoping for a big, big win. Just like heaven, the jackpot would be heaven for me.

Texas Lottery to expand ticket sales at checkout lanes
Stop Predatory Gambling never makes any headway because they are trying to appeal to state governments with moral/ethical arguments. Instead SPG should appeal to players with economic and math arguments. Religiosity is on the decline and nobody cares about poor people. These guys are too religion-focused.

Lottery-scamming brothers avoid asset seizures by transferring property to their mother
The article says Eddie is in prison for up to 25 years. I will bet that Eddie is going to be a stellar inmate, crossing all the t's doting the i's .Might even take up religion while inside. The makings of a truly rehabilitated individual, walking with angels, so to speak. Gets out in under 15 years returns to his millions. This guy has it all planned out, and a big Thank You to Ma.After all, that's what Mother's do, look out for their kids.

2nd lottery bill filed in the Alabama Senate
l have no problem with religion existing, what l have a problem with is religious leaders telling us what we should should not do. Encroaching on people's desires or how they should spend their money etc etc. Prostitution existed in the time of the Christ, yet there no scripture of any of the disciples or Christ himself attempting to stamp it out. They were more interested in spreading the word, religious leaders should stick to what they think they know, which should be minding their own busine

Oklahoma couple surprises clerk with portion of lottery winnings
While I agree giving the clerk a piece of the pie is a Christian thing to do, but nowhere in the article or video does it mention the winner's religion if any. So why did turn into a religious debate?

Lottery winner survives helicopter crash
I agree with you. He was an accident waiting to happen and we have all seen reckless people lIke this person. He could have landed on a person or child. No neighborhood likes people who disrupt their neighborhood...at least if you live in a nice one. Religion has nothing to do with this incident. And Christians are perfect in Christ, however all humans remain flawed beings.
