Mega Millions $5 price increase and game changes take effect this weekend
I thought this thru some more and MM really dressed up their plate and left us a few morsels: Less sales (I'm just guessing 50% less) equals less 5 of 6 millionaires. Less 5 of 6 millionaires means less chance of a 10x millionaire since there's a 3.1% chance of the 10x being the multiplier on any ticket. 5X is only slightly less than before (6.3% vs 6.7%). 4x is about the same, but 3x took a dive from 40% to 31% and 2x is the king now- 46.9,% vs 33.3 % before. In other words, you were incent

Mega Millions $5 price increase and game changes take effect this weekend
Ummm, correction needed...PB overall odds are just under 1/25. I don't trust the system to assign a multiplier. The system will always give a fixed end result whereas the mechanical balls have a somewhat random aspect. Not to worry, since I won't see another MM ticket until the jackpot hits $1.5B. I won't subsidize their greed when a third weekly drawing would have given them the same (or better) revenue than the ticket cost increase. I'm guessing PB wouldn't budget on their M-W-Sa drawi

I wanted everyone to know this.... I apologize for not congratulating each and everyone of you after the midday draw, I was away from my PC most of the day and by the time I logged back on, I hardly had any time to focus on the evening draw. I just didn't want you folks to think I was being rude, plus I was also bummed for not playing 679, but my genius self thought I need to cut back on the daily amount I play, so I sure as hell picked the wrong time to be a cheapskate. lol When I logge

will you play the new $5 mega millions?
P-6, Do you really believe that the MM head honchos will keep their word on starting at $50 M ? Remember.... These are direct quotes from the MM website 10/18/2017 Mega Millions is being redesigned to bring more value to its players with larger starting jackpots and faster rolls. Starting jackpots will more than double from $15 million to $40 million, and jackpots will grow faster overall. There will be better odds to win $1 million prizes and higher secondary prizes. 4/3/2020 The M

One Oregon lottery ticket wins first Powerball jackpot of the year worth $328.5 million
Your a bett(or) person than me Bleu ...... I'm not gonna play again for some time .... .until it ie mm and/or pb reaches around $200 mil. Of course I am thankful to those of you who help to build the jackpot up to my entry figure. Let it be known tho' that when I jump in at $200 mil I will still buy one ticket per every 200 mil increase so I kind of make up for not being in it from the beginning by purchasing 5 tickets when it reaches 1 bil and 10 tickets if it reaches 2 bil For now

Any Lottery Resolutions for 2025??
Hey LP members, 2025 is here with us. Do you have any changes you foresee in the way you play the lottery. Any increase or decrease in amounts you spend? Any drawings or games that you plan to start or stop playing? Any changes from QP to self picked numbers or vice versa? For myself, I don't foresee any major changes. Will continue doing QPs more. Will try and avoid getting drawn into the jackpot euphoria when the amounts are over a billion. Will also keep it fun and ent

it be hard to win on 5 ball drawings
Thank you for listing the number of draws for both MM and PB per year. Now I know how much I spend on them per year. MM 104*3=$312 PB 156*3=$468 Total $780. If I skipped the extra dollar for multiplier and power play, that would be $520 a year. $260 more for an extra 1 million or two is not bad. When MM moves to $5 a draw that would be $520 a year. That is a $208 increase at a chance to win 10 million. Mmh. I am not jeopardizing my retirement at all

Australian man deletes email from lottery about $50 million Powerball jackpot win
P.U.: What Stinx!?! Speaking of powerball .... I've still gotta see an $150 mil increase from the current 'pot until I jump in to play. And also, on the topic of powerball ... Im now inclined to put down $5.for Mil4Life seeing MegaMillions is 250 mil below my jumping in point but, unlike lucky4life I'll just play once a week and not twice. Congrats to Mr. Powerball Australia!!! Speaking of which .. when does intl.powerball begin??? Now onto my liverwurst sandwich on ... with

It looks as if the $5.00 MM ticket is doing poorly.
While there are games that cost more than $5..... $10 scratchers, $20 scratchers, $50 scratchers, $20 raffle tickets, etc., the difference is that in those games, you have a vastly higher chance of winning a large amount of money. The problem with the new $5 MM is that they didn't change much of anything. It includes the multiplier for lower prizes (instead of giving you a choice to pay the extra $1). They included a 10X possibility but re-arranged the other multiplier odds to give you preci
