Just one data point, but the first 3 drawings for 400+ had sales of $105 million compared to $117 million for the first 3 drawings for 400 the last time it got there before the price increase. That's just hair under 90%. Looking at PB sales for 3 drawings at 400+ at roughly the same times the more recent run had sales of 88% of the previous sales. That's one way to play, keep buying tickets until you have a sufficiently large chance of winning. This is what professionals do when a jackpot is really big, to the point that the expected value of a ticket is greater than its face value. The weather is not going to alter the 1 in 10 chance of a particular ball being grabbed by the machine as a winning number. That one is not it could be figured out , it's just plain not possible.
