What is the best Software for 6/49 ?
I would suggest you take a look at Castle Lotto Software, they include your S.A. game and the weighted random might be more helpful then Quick Picks. There is a 15 day free trial so give it a workout and see for yourself how it does before putting any money on it. You can find the link here in the Lottery Software Directory. I haven't found any that predict worth a damn, though LottoSync often gets none or only one number correct often enough I can play its 10 picks for only a couple of bucks

Unlucky,or gods help?
Anyone who is involved in any form of gambling is up against the luck factor and that's all there is to it.
Everything form someone making all the right strategy plays playing blackjack and yet not winning a hand to someone who didn't even set out to buy a lottery ticket having ths store clerk ask if they want one and then hitting multi-millions on a quick pick.
Where's the justice? There is none in gambling.

Do Playing Quick Picks Ever Work??
I've won more money (not a jackpot) by selecting my own numbers, but I've had a few QP's that have paid ok (between $15.00 and $100.00).
You'll find lots of interesting information in LOTTOMIKE's "quick pick or your own numbers" poll.

Do Playing Quick Picks Ever Work??
I am wondering if playing quick picks (where the machine picks the numbers for you) actually ever works. I usually do this, but have been wondering if I should just pick a set of numbers or multiple sets and stick with these numbers....any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
Slim the Greyhound

I voted "sometimes."
Check out LOTTOMIKE's "quick pick or your own numbers" poll - you'll find lots of useful information posted in that thread.

Always so close
I know, I know, counts in horsehsoes (and hand grenades and artillery!)
Last week, my wife has a dream and sees 135, we play it straight box, and 253 hits.
I bought something today, it was $8.53, so trying to psyche out the Pick 3, I play it as 538 (instead of 853)....735 hits
I played a Quick Pick Little Lotto -
4 10 12 20 32
what hits?
13-14-19-21-31
I'm sure there are plenty of similar stories, I just wanted to vent a little. I want to know what it's like to cash a P

bringing up past topics for new members
I voted "yes bring up past topics for new members sometimes."
I also think it's ok to "bump" older threads that are not locked IF they are about a topic that would be of interest to newer members ( for example, the "quick pick or your own numbers" poll ).
I agree with Todd that it is also important that people use the Search feature to find out what was said before.

What does this say?
Mystified by the mathematics, great play on words! My wife was looking at the board and said there's a lot of information here and a lot of knowledgeable people (and there certainly are), but, where's the justice when people try to apply math and who knows what else to the lottery - only for some lucky bast*** to walk into convenience mart and say, Give me a quick pick and be the one to hit.
It just struck me funny that there were over eight times as many topics in Mystical than there

what are the odds
Hmm....suppose both the phone numbers are in the same area code and the first three digits after the area code are irrelevant. Once you received the first phone number, what are the odds of coincidentally receiving a second similar number form someone else...
There are 10,000 unique four digit ending sequences just like in the Pick 4 game (0000-9999). The odds of getting two phone numbers with the same ending digits in the same exact order is 1 in 10,000.
If all four digits are the same,

A Quick pick yet again......
Dam those systems : full speed ahead with the computer picks !
BTW, anyone want to bet how long it will take before someone steps up and says that they were in the pool but were absent the day of the ticket purchase ?
